Anyone who is assaulted has the right to defend themselves. No one "deserves" to get egged. I hope more people who get egged, "milkshaked", whatever, punch the thrower in the face, it might make people stop and think. It's taking politics down to the lowest common denominator, you've only got to look at the people applauding this assault to see that.

A veteran in his 80s had a milkshake thrown at him outside a polling station last week, because he was wearing a rosette someone else didn't like. Ha! It's a larf, innit.
