If you look at the difference between channels, and all shows in 2002-2005, and 2019 in terms of ratings it’s basicslly halved since. Love island would be on like 10m if you scaled it up

You’re right in saying that, but also; BB never had the reach that Love Island does now, as it didn’t have as great catch up and on demand services available at such ease. There’s no reason to say that the 5.8m average for BB3 couldn’t have still been the same these days, but then easily 7 or 8 million with a wider audience also watching on demand etc. It isn’t really comparable
