You're being the enlightened centrist and by sitting on the fence, you are condoning China's actions. There's no middle ground here. You either oppose the abuses that China commits regularly or you don't. Saying you respect every nation is just you basically passively condoning what goes on in China and what the Hong Kong police are doing on their behalf.
