I don't like the idea of banning alternate identities at all, that's what makes it more interesting. It's already infantile with all the BB-like sex comments anyway, if anyone has pretentions of this being more adult then you don't ban gameplay, you assume the audience can cope with the whole game. If the tabloids get their moral hypocrisy up that's their problem.
All of them are using something to get liked, whether real or imagined. On Australian Survivor a contestant pretended he had a child to get more allies, and it worked. If he hadn't he would probably have had less allies, that shows more the shallowness of people. You have to look at it from both angles, not just the person with the story (true or false) but the reactions they get as well. Anything that shows how shallow people are is good to me.
