I absolutely agree with this. Not just because he managed to alienate himself from the rest of the house, but because he is not with her for honourable reasons. Did you see the doubt cross over the psychologists face when Noirin declared adamantly that he would follow her out. The shrink knows he doesn't love her, so based on her non verbal response, the only conclusion left to draw is that he was a wuss.
