Default Locking Horns

After a series of arguments, the prisoners have decided to give up on the massive padlock-unlocking mission.

Aisleyne wasn't happy about the task from the start and deemed it "impossible" from the off. Her whinging and negative comments finally got to her male cellmates and they all decided to just accept defeat.

"We are supposed to do 20 (each an hour), it's impossible!" Aisleyne sighed as she failed to unlock another padlock. "Why are we killing ourselves? It's impossible!"

"The first hour will be harder," Glyn encouraged, "Nothing is impossible."

"Move up!" Aisleyne snapped at Spiral. "You've got the whole bench there. You wrecked my patch!" Keen to pass the task, Spiral shot back: "I'm not making a mistake."

Aisleyne seriously needed to change the record. "It's impossible," she said again.

"You serious?" Glyn asked her patiently. "You will find out at the end I was right," Aisleyne told him.

"Shall we leave it?" Glyn asked, now getting a bit angry, adding: "Stop saying it's impossible! You're putting a downer on it!"

"I should not speak my mind," Aisleyne snarled. "I know my place as a little woman." Glyn sighed and told her, "We are not saying that! Get on with it!"

But Aisleyne was more than over it. She bickered a bit more with Spiral and Glyn until finally the boys agreed to abandon the task. "I said we should have given up 10 minutes ago," Aisleyne huffed. "Now we've just wasted another 10 minutes on it."

Prison life can't all be relaxing in spas and drinking cocktails on a beach, Aisleyne.
