There were signs of Pete's selfishness during the prison task, he swapped with Dickie. Dickie got a letter from home, that he really needed to get because his mother has cancer. Pete chucked his dummy out of his pram, and was miffed because he wasn't allowed his letter. Even though he forfitted any right to have it by swapping places with Dickie.
