Julie Goodyear has boldly ruled out a
return to her Coronation Street role
as Bet Lynch.
Goodyear, who is currently in the
Celebrity Big Brother house
, has long been linked with a
comeback.
Speaking to the latest OK! magazine,
the actress stated: "Would I go back?
No."

The 70-year-old explained that the
soap, which films nearly two hours of
material every week, would be too
physically gruelling.
"The schedule now is way above and
beyond," Goodyear hypothesised.
"When I began it was two episodes a
week. It's become more and more."
Goodyear further claimed that, while
she respects the current cast's level of
commitment, her performance would
suffer with such high-turnaround
scenes.
"I've tremendous admiration for them
being able to do it, but I'm a
perfectionist in my work," she added.
"I need rehearsals, tech-runs, make-
up and costume."
The Weatherfield legend, who was last
seen on the cobbles in 2002, was
previously rumoured to be making a
guest appearance for the funeral of
Betty Williams last year
