Competition seems pretty weak. It seems on the other channels it's just old documentaries and DIY shows:

BBC1:

DIY SOS The Big Build (DIY)

Home renovation series. Single mother Julie Jones became a national news story when she promised to look after her dying friend's children. Overnight Julie's family grew from three children to eight. Nick Knowles and the team travel to Huntingdon where, with the help of the local community, they aim to transform Julie's house into a home for this supersized family.

BBC2:

Queen Victoria's Children (History Documentary)
Princes will be Princes... In a 60-year family saga this three-part series explores the reign of Queen Victoria through her personal relationships with her husband and her nine children.

ITV1:

Trouble Abroad (Documentary)
The first of a two-part programme which takes a look at how for some of the 5.5 million British expats the dream of a new life abroad has gone sour.

C4:

The Restoration Man (DIY)
Using an inheritance from his late father, artist Keith McIntyre and his wife Sheena bought a listed, Thomas Telford-designed church in the remote island of Berneray in the Outer Hebrides.
