He’s currently in China and so won’t read this for a while yet, but Jesus is our winner! He had the most nominations in Round 1 (fifteen) and the most points in round 2; it was never in doubt who was going to win. This is a re-entry for Jesus who debuted in Most Loved 6, at 45. Little trivia for you: Josy debuted in Most Loved 3 at 45 as well. Perhaps it was fate. Let’s take a look at why Jesus was voted as the winner. “He single-handedly restored my faith in humanity and he deserves nothing but good things in his life” said one, “I don't know much about Jesus, but he's fast becoming one of my favourite members. He has a fantastic sense of humour which for me is one of the most important qualities in a person. I think we'd be great friends in real life” said another. One member admitted that “we did have a bad time at the start of the year, but now he’s been a star and helped me when I needed help”; while another threw points his way because “I don’t know them but supporting fellow biblical username person.” I have no idea who that could possibly be. One member said “I've gotten very close to Jesus over the last few months. He has a wicked sense of humour and I've enjoyed our chin wags very much. He's a great addition to the forum and I'm glad he came back after his break last time,” another said “in honesty I think Jesus is the funniest member on TiBB, his posts are always spot on and hilarious, he deserves top 3 from me.” He earned points because he “makes religion fun”, “we have a lot of heated footie debates, but overall I like what he brings to the forum because of his opinions and humour” and “i love him so much i just want him to adopt me so we can get drunk all day and put smarties tubes on his cats legs and if he passes out maybe touch him up a lil?” One member said “in true tradition, Jesus had a second coming to TiBB and when he was resurrected I thought good lord he’s back!! But since Jesus returned and I got to know him more, I can’t praise him highly enough, mainly because he’ll always praise himself higher. He may be a god on the forum with his cheeky wit, intelligence and his devotion to Patrick Jane but off the forum and as a friend, he’s just a very nice guy” while another said “me and Jesus started off.. well, not disliking each other in any way, we just never really spoke. Then we started speaking and became good acquaintances. He pretends to go about the forum disliking me, but we both know he does. He's actually a really nice member and knows how to take a joke at the same time as dishing one out, which is what you need in a member.” One member gave him points because although “he drives me mad at times, I do like this guy, very hard to argue with the points he makes,” while another said “after a shaky start, I've grown to really enjoy chatting with Jesus. He's a clever guy, cheeky, funny, tongue in cheek but also not afraid to take the piss out of himself too... No-one else has insulted me as much on the forum or made me laugh as much...” He was described by one member as “the only member on my list that I don’t regularly talk to but I always do enjoy his posts. He has certainly regained my trust in Christianity!” One user said “Jesus is the one member who I've really got on with in the last few months. I've grown to respect him a lot. He always wins an argument and on the very rare occasion he's wrong, he will admit it straightaway. He's always there with a quick witted comment that has me in stitches every time. We have a mutual mindset which has cemented him in my heart forever,” and another said “praise the Lord, the Saviour of TiBB has arrived. Jesus is a fantastic member. Witty, intelligent and friendly. His posts in the Serious Debates section always make for an interesting read, and his posts in the other sections quite often have me in stitches. He is a real asset to this forum and one of my favourite members of all time.” He was described by one member as being “intelligent and respectful and contributes a lot to the Serious debates threads. It's nice having a proper intelligent atheist on the forum. We need more members like him around here.” He picked up points from one member for being “one of the best people ever to take the piss out of! I've really only gotten to know him fairly recently but we seem to have hit it off and he is now one of my favourites. He is intelligent and very witty, often making me genuinely laugh out loud! Since he's buggered off to China to catch cockrot, the forum actually hasn't been the same,” but I thought I would give the last word to his arch nemesis. I obviously can’t reveal who that person is but I’m sure their words will speak for themselves. “Nerves of steel, heart of gold… and a knob of butter. I totally forgive him for his anti-Semitism, and I hope that will annoy him immensely. We disagree on everything important – religion, politics… but we’ve managed to disagree and remain friends. His humour is very much on my wavelength, which is actually more detrimental to me than complimentary to him.” I think we should all start calling Jesus butterknob from now on, I reckon he’d love it. This has been a wholly holy experience, let’s all congratulate Jesus for being the winner and I will see you all in winter time for Most Loved #9! Good night!
