Default C5 broadcasting old BB episodes

Channel 5 is preparing to launch a free-to-air channel repeating shows from the main channel – similar to Channel 4’s 4Seven.
5 Later is set to launch in January across Freeview, Sky and Freesat, and will feature a selection of the most popular shows that have recently aired. A placeholder has been launched on Freeview channel 55.
Celebrity Big Brother, The Hotel Inspector and the Stobart franchise are among the shows likely to be repeated, along with content from C5’s long-running kids’ strand Milkshake.
The launch of the channel will expand C5’s portfolio, which includes 5* and 5USA along with the flagship channel.
C5 also operates a +1 channel across Freeview, Sky and Freesat, but the rollout of 5 Later is thought to be designed to expand the broadcaster’s viewing share, increasing its reach for advertisers.
C5 chief operating officer Paul Dunthorne said: “Our ambition is to give our viewers as many chances as possible to view our programmes – whether via devices or a new channel like 5 Later. The new channel means we can offer an ever stronger Channel 5 service to our viewers.”
Indies and distributors that do business with C5 are not likely to benefit from the launch as the repeats will be scheduled within the primary rights window.
In 2012, Channel 4 launched repeats channel 4Seven, which focused on offering viewers a chance to see the broadcaster’s highest-rating shows and topical content that had provoked debate.
It all on YouTube so a little late
