.I don't know if you know Edward Hopper, the artist..?...aesthetically, his paintings are not ones that I would personally choose to own but in terms of 'stories' and specifically stories of 'loneliness in a crowd/in cities' etc...they're extremely thought provoking...as there is often one isolated figure amidst a sea of busyness...I think that's sometimes how we all feel...I love Rear Window, btw...
I once won a prize for a short story I wrote. The subject had to be about Hopper's painting; 'NightHawks'.
