The wrong people are constantly getting their hands on guns. If it's not students shooting up their schools it's police officers murdering innocent people. No other western country has anywhere near the amount of shooting incidents and that's because America's gun laws are so wishy washy.

Abolish the second amendment, it's out of date and it's killing more civilians then it's protecting. Getting rid of that archaic law would be an excellent place to start.

This isn't about other countries but if you want to make it so then okay, other similarly developed countries have nowhere near the rate of shooting incidents of America. I'm pretty sure the UK haven't had a school shooting incident since the 90's and that alone bought in a whole bunch of legislation to prevent it happening again. America has a major shooting incident every few months, how many schools have been shot up in the past five years alone? What's been done to prevent it happening again? Nothing.

Pointing fingers at other countries is a weak ass response and your inaction in wanting to prevent something like this from happening again is sadly something shared by too many Americans. Demand change and change will happen but deflect the issues and the cycle of death will just carry on. You are part of the problem, not the solution.

i Agree with you, America isn't like other developed countries. We also have an exceptional level of innovations in technology, medicine, science, literature, film, pretty much everything,. so yes, we are an extreme country, including negative happenings, but the extreme level of education and innovation we achieve makes it worth it. Freedom has a price. Sometimes freedom means that people are free to be evil.

These types of murders happen everywhere, the only difference is you don't hear about them in poland, or ecuador. Because the American media is so advanced and so ubiquitous. So of course they get more attention.

When is the last time you read about a murder in other countries? America is your obsession, because we are the highest standard. America is not perfect, but we are the highest bar.
