That is the most disturbing part of this whole story, that they suspected that was who he was and yet acted so aggressively towards him, it is like the treatment still, by the Police at times,of people with mental health issues too.
Unacceptable behaviour and I hope they get the book thrown at them.
I do generally support the Police and think they get a rough ride most of the time but this is a disgraceful act,under any circumstances, considering who they thought he was.
Inexcusable but very worrying too, people who care for those with Alzheimers /dementia should at the very least be sure if they were to go missing, that they could 100% trust the Police to ensure they were safe and protected as to their efforts to find the person,not treat them in this shocking way when they think they have found the person.
