Some thrill seekers aside, going to a theme park and seeing a ride and thinking "oh yeah, that's the one where people lost legs..." isn't exactly appealing... regardless of how safe you think it is.
Seems like it'd be a bad smell that's better off gone.

Yeah that's my original thinking really. I mean I tend to stick to thinking about things rationally and even knowing that the ride would probably be as safe as - probably safer than - any other ride now... I'd still be massively crapping in my pants if I got on it
