I'm sure there are decent people working at The Sun in various practical / support roles through lack of choice. I would say that in my opinion, there are no "decent" people happily working at The Sun, and certainly not amoungst their top brass or storytellers ("journalists" they probably would like to call them. But they are not.). "Decent people" would not willingly create, print and distribute anything in that trash rag.

It's a tough one really. Looking at it like I view the industry that I work in myself (which I wholly despise)... if that was shut down tomorrow, yes, there would be a lot of decent "boots on the ground" people out of a job including myself (Yes I am decent... ) and yet... I would still on many levels, and every level that isn't entirely selfish, be very happy to see it go. It does ruin lives and the problematic gambling / addiction levels across the industry are much, much higher than is properly reported and the token efforts to combat it are almost exclusively for appearances sake only (which I could literally get fired for saying out loud online... but meh... they'll never track me down... )

Anyway, meandering off track here, but yeah... I think it's OK to burn something toxic to the ground even if good people get temporarily caught up in it, and I'm saying that as someone in that exact situation.

The Sun (and all of its Murdoch tabloid brethren) isn't just "not good", it's a huge pus-spewing infected boil attached to the face of the nation. The benefits of eradicating the gutter press are unimaginable... more than worth a few lost jobs.
