I'll repeat the sentiments of others, Facebook's a useful tool in finding flat mates. I've found three of mine already on accommodation groups (it may differ from uni to uni though)

I'm sure your flat mates will turn out to be nice and even if you don't get along ( they'll be lovely) I'm sure you'll make friends with people in nearby flats or on your course. From your posts you seem like a lovely, outgoing person and easy to get along with x
