Not what I expected at all. Was expecting a pretty light hearted comedy but it was actually a really serious film with comedic moments. Great watch though, was totally invested in the story and had no idea it was a true story until the end credits. Hope it gets some award recognition over the next few months.

i watched the big sick a few weeks ago and I agree I thought it was brilliant! an incredibly fun watch
