I think Amanda chuckling afterwards made it worse for Indie. But, I think it was nerves/embarrassment that made Amanda giggle. I do think Indie let it upset her too much but it is a very sensitive issue for her & I think these things fuelled her upset:-
~Ann telling her that the apology should be sufficient;
~In the kitchen while Indie was speaking - several of the housemates verbally stepped in to diffuse the situation - which, when you are emotionally worked up must feel like someone is taking away your voice so must be very frustrating.

Don't get me wrong - I do think she came down too hard on Amanda in the kitchen but as Rachel said - by being referred to as 'him' - it must make Indie feel that she is not being seen/recognised as a woman & after all she has gone through - this must be incredibly upsetting. Hopefully since then, they've had a chance to chat & make up.
