Well that's not really how it was said. She didn't say oh you are cruel. She said she didn't like the inflicting pain and in her view laughing at it was cruel or unkind (I can't recall the exact word she used). It's not actually an unreasonable point of view if you think about it. I don't necessarily agree but I can see where she is coming from. I think Maggie is one of those people who would coast along in the house and I think she was more put out in being nommed than about Ann's reason.

Actually having seen the clip again Ann didn't say cruel or unkind. She just said she thought laughing at the inflicting pain task was unkind and she was nominating Maggie for laughing.
