Let's look at the facts.

You just made the negative statement 'look at you, getting all straight white male on us' when i pointed out the recent rise in anti-white hate crime.

What do you mean 'getting all straight white male'?

Clearly you meant that in a negative way, no doubt about that.
As if being 'straight, white male' is a 'bad thing' somehow in your mind.

So to help you see the bigotry of your own statement, let's flip it around.

Let's imagine you had pointed out a statistic regarding anti-black hate crime.

Then imagine another person responded with:
'look at you, getting all gay black female on us!'

You see the obvious bigotry when it's that way round, right?

It's all negative stereotyping. Not cool.

I'm an equalist.
To me, anti-white, anti-male, anti-straight comments like yours are EQUALLY as objectionable as anti-black, anti-female, and anti-gay comments are by anyone else.

But maybe you are unequal in your logic.
Maybe you think it's ok to be negative about 'straight white males'?
Maybe you think it's ok to stereotype ONE race, ONE gender, ONE sexuality - but not others?

If so then THAT, my patronising friend, is what we call bigotry:
Racist, sexist and anti-straight bigotry.

My advice?:

Aim for ACTUAL equality and intellectual consistency on these subjects or you are no better than the racists of this world.
In short: I have a cousin who's gay, black and transgender.
