By the way, you can’t quote this saying ‘an excellence post’ when you are the one scrutinising Shane J who hasn’t been ‘pushy’ ‘aggressive’ at all.

I can admit you’re completely right, but look at the angle that when you aren’t aggressive / intolerant you get people saying ‘calm down oprah’ or whatever.

So what are you to do? It’s easy to get frustrated

And you call others 'part of the problem' !

When it comes to resolving social issues, a major part of 'the problem' is intolerant and aggressive attitudes like this.

It's like a brick wall of angry hatred. Solves nothing. Helps nobody.

YES there are some problems and confusion in the mainstream regarding LGBT issues.
YES dialogue is needed in order that people can understand each other better and society can evolve.

But that dialogue is a two-way thing.
It takes time, and it also requires patience and understanding ON BOTH SIDES.

You have to BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE.

You want respect?. You have to give respect.
You want acceptance and understanding from others? You have to BE accepting and understanding toward others.

You want people to hear YOUR side of the story and not attack you for being different?
Well, then you have to do the same for them, right? And not attack them for being different from you.

You can't make your point against intolerance.... by being intolerant yourself!

"Sit your ass down"
"Delete your account" etc etc

Sound tolerant and progressive to you??
