Default The Welsh Leader Lady now lets Labour take power

First Heading : The Welsh Leader lady wants to keep Labour out

She has not formed
a Government
and is trying to Block Labour
having any power.

So she is going for a Conservative
and UKIP.

No wonder there is a Hold Up.

Keeping Welsh Labour Out
Go On Lady.

She will do herself no favours with the Welsh electorate aligning herself with the Conservatives and UKIP particularly.

How ridiculous for her to present herself as the First Minister anyway, she would be out completely if Plaid Cymru were to do any deals to govern with UKIP particularly.

However,Labour are being short sighted, they could have worked with Plaid Cymru no problem, and they should have done so.
They yet may still, to shut out totally UKIP and the Conservatives.

No way at all however should Leanne Wood be even considered after this election to be the First Minister, that is utterly ridiculous.
Well done to the Lib Dem in Wales, not willing to be having playing any games as to giving any credibility to UKIP and also now the Conservatives too.

You must be able to see
she has had enough of Labour in Wales.
The NHS mess etc.

Conservative and UKIP are up for this.

Well she hates UKIP and has no time at all for the Conservatives so they are the strangest bedfellows possibly ever anywhere to be aligned with as to Plaid Cymru.

How can she lead the Assembly and how could she keep labour out,how could Plaid ever agree with or get support for Plalds policies from the Conservatives and certainly not from UKIP, so how could she believe she could lead a Labour led Assembly.
Would Plaid support a Conservative/UKIP coalition in the Assembly either,no not a chance.

This is time wasting and stupidity on a great scale and it would serve her right if another Assembly election was called,(which it won't be obviously), and she had to go again to the voters and face all the charges of aligning herself right off with the Conservatives and UKIP.

She would lose votes and credibility massively.
Since being leader she has endlessly criticised the Conservatives and UKIP.

She has shown herself to be not worthy of any leadership for me with this farce, she should have gone to labour and said Plaid would not support Carwyn Jones so would they put a new candidate forward, not get herself embroiled with the Conservatives and UKIP.

I think there will be a lot of raised eyebrows by Plaid Cymru voters,at her delaying tactics here and holding up the work of the Assembly by playing games with arch enemies like the Conservatives and UKIP, instead of getting on with serious business.

I would suggest she is doing it for her own personal benefit. Raising her own personal profile, putting herself into a position of power. From a political point of view, it makes zero sense as there just won't be any common ground between her, the conservatives and UKIP

People that do such things inevitably fall flat on their faces, so if she pulls it off, she will be gone come the next election. The lib dems know this to their own cost.

Was just coming in to post this, did she learn nothing from the Lib Dems fall from grace, she wants to be on a par with Nicola Sturgeon but she is not strong enough for that.

I think she's following what her electorate told her through the ballot box. You can't argue with the electorate.

I agree but for Plaid Cymru, the idea of anything to do with UKIP particularly, is toxic, I mean had Labour gone down to say 22 to 25 seats, fair enough.

They only lost one seat to go to 29, it is plain daft to think she and Plaid have any basis to work on against Labour there, unless she does sell Plaids soul to the devil and now agree with the Conservatives and UKIP.
Hardly that could ever be the case and she would make it likely political suicide for her and Plaid Cymru if she did..

Labour and the Lib Dem make up half the assembly with 30 seats.
It is actually good to see that Lib Dem has seemingly learned from the recent past and has no will to support the Conservatives and UKIP in the assembly.

Plaid won at home too thankfully. Personally, I think the Welsh Assembly needs to stay "labour".

Really how on earth in any way, without Labours agreement, could Plaid govern with under 20 seats and having to rely on Conservative and UKIP support to do so.
How is that responsible politics never mind good politics.

Labour and the single Lib Dem can likely block every single thing they bring forward if they wanted to, even if there was very much that needed doing that all those parties could even agree enough on.

She has turned this into a farce and now we have one of UKIPs representatives saying he will now back Carwyn Jones and also Mark reckless of UKIP saying Labour can rely on the UKIP votes if they scrap the Severn bridge tolls.

What a mess this silly woman has made of the start to the new period of the Welsh Assembly, just for her own glorified status too.

The welsh hate carwyn jones, hes a hopeless failure. Since he took over the country has become considerably poorer. Huw iraanca is lined up to replace him anyway. This coalition with plaed and either labour or conservatives could see leanne wood take power. she has in fairness improved a lot in recent times as a debater and her calls to nationalise the steel industry went down well. she pro europe sadly but she has chosen her arguments ell on the eu debate. It would be good to have a non labour leader in wales and also to have a woman would give a new perspective. shes kind of old fashioned in her speech and her look. though I suspect she is conceealing a hot body beneath those floral dresses

labour's rule in wales, has been a disaster, for a long time, nothing has changed there for the last 35 years, high unemployment, worst run hospitals in the uk, labour will underestimate the 3 other parties, and then when the shock hits them at the last minute, it will be too late, they will have another scotland style disaster in wales, and wales is their second main base for big voters, if they keep carwyn jones their for another six years, they will just lose another 5 seats, in the next assembly elections.

YOU ARE 100% RIGHT. Oh they've also nationalised their ownly airport which is losing even more money under the labour government that it was privately

question for everyone , how many flights have you had out of Cardiff compared to other airports?

She is being tactical by the look of it, if she has a smaller party such as UKIP or conservative then most of the decisions will be plaids alone.

The Tories only have one less seat than Plaid and they and Ukip together outnumber Plaid by 18 seats to 12

that's not an issue anyway, there is no formal coalition they just have their backing to govern.

Yes that will go well when the governing party only holds 12 of the assembly's 60 seats

Nearly as crazy as being a sole governing party on 36% of the vote

She never wanted Labour out unless she and her party were able to form an administration.
The only people she would really likely ever want kept out in reality are the Conservatives and UKIP.

I am glad this is sorted out as well after her delaying tactics although I would guess she has won some concessions for Plaid Cymru and rightfully so.
