Default What is the first culture shock you remember having?

I would say high school - thought it would be full of sweetness and innocence , completely wrong.

A Japanese student who was staying with my Uncle (he is a prof (not a perv)) gave me a pair of slipper socks and it blew my little mind. She also showed me Japanese writing - mind blown again. SHe was also banging hot.

In 1999, my dad took my sister and I to Russia where he was born and it was both nice and terrible.
It was nice because it was another culture with its traditions and the people are super kind.
But I then realized why he left his homecountry due to poverty and dictatorship and how good we had it in France. Seriously, the life there was bad and I was old enough to understand it.
