Default U.S writers on strike!!

Most of you have probably heard this by now but just incase all hollywood scriptwriters are on strike.

Now you guys may think this isn't a problem but it will affect all the American t.v sow imports including:

Heroes (series 2 will end at episode 11)
Lost
24
Ugly betty

and quite a few more.

So what do you guys think of this strike?

I think it's stupid, there isn't much money to be made in digital distrubition at the moment, If the writers struck in 3 or so years then i could see their point, who buys films for download?? Everyone gets them on DVD. Only people losing at the moment are the viewers.

Last night's Prison Break (in the US) was the last episode until about January because they want to hold back the remaining ones they have filmed.

Lost might be held back till Sept '08 or only 8 episodes shown in January with the series starting again in Jan '09!

There's an article here by Damon Lindelof of Lost explaining what their complaint is.

I wish the soap writers over here would go on strike instead.

They are striking for a very good reason and I am 100% behind them - despite the disruption to my favourite shows.

Take a look at this video.

And sign their petition.

I did.

That's a shame because they have interrupted everything. But fortunatly Nip/Tuck and Lost are safe !
