Default Verne \'won\'t live to see 50\'

The housemates were shocked to hear that Verne is unlikely to survive past the age of 50 tonight.

After Big Brother supplied the group with alcohol for successfully completing a task, Verne proceeded to get drunk on three glasses of champagne. His inebriated antics - which included swearing and driving into the Diary Room door with his scooter - led the housemates to comment on his behaviour.

Coolio quietly told La Toya that the reason he overindulges is because he is trying to make the most of his life and is very aware that he may not live for much longer.

"A lot of dwarves tend to die young. So that's why he's having fun. That's why he travels, that's why he lives his life. He's almost 41 and most dwarves don't live past 50," he said.

Ulrika, Ben and Tommy soon joined the conversation and Coolio further elaborated.

"You can tell his body is falling apart now. He used to do his own stunts, he used to dive all over the place, do his own flips..." he continued, before jokingly informing the group that even in his current condition, Verne could still perform better press-ups than Tommy.

Later in the bedroom, Tina expressed her surprise to Mutya and Ulrika at the news, commenting that "there's no way he'll live beyond 50".

Mutya looked shocked before saying: "Oh, that's so sad. That's why his bones are giving in. Well I'm glad I met him when I had the chance."
