we are wasting billions, and for what, nothing, we are better saving are money, rather than given it to the eu to waste, the fact we can no longer keep on getting countries out of debut, and when ours is rising, and the poor families are the ones that are suffering from the cut backs, the eu needs us 99 percent of the time, but we don't need them 100 percent of the time.

I think it's good to have the EU around because it stops friction developing between the nations in the EU and then having a War breakout like it used to be decades ago.
However it needs to be mainly there for trading and going into wars if any of the EU countries get attacked, it shouldn't be used for one given country to tell all of the other countries what to do, with America helping on the sidelines.

I'd vote to leave. I have thought long and hard and to me the cons clearly outweigh the pros. In the 1970s This country voted for a common market, they didn't vote for us to be ruled by a country we went to war with twice in the 20th Century, neither did we vote for open borders and foreign judges having a say in our legal system. Norway isn't a member of the EU but still trades under the European Free Trade Association, so have all of benefits without the colossal costs we pay to Brussels every year. We already do more trade with the US than we do with the EU and we share a common language with them; those links should be developed. Also, unlike any other country in Europe, we have a thriving Commonwealth that deserves even more attention, support and trade. I know first hand of the waste of the European Parliament and the total greed and ineptitude of many MEPs, and I'm not just talking about our own. There are some who work hard, there are many who do not.
Out, for me. Out and never return. |

Stay, it will always need reforming and new ideas and all govts should always be looking for the best terms and deals on issues within the EU.
I am a rigidly firm 'in' person as to the EU,I would see it as a very dangerous and backward move from the UK to come out so I will be supporting massively to stay in. Sadly, I can see just about all the major cities of the UK voting to stay in, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland plus the other regions of England too. With the extreme far South of England carrying an out vote, which I believe will cause chaos across the UK and divide the Nation even more than it already is. Unless this hapless PM we have puts some lock on conditions as to the result of the referendum. Last edited by joeysteele; 27-09-2015 at 03:47 PM. |
