Default Birmingham has a £8 a journey Clean Air Zone, London has Ulez at £12 a journey

Manchester is now
working on their new fee?
To come in soon,

£8 Birmingham
is far better that this New ULEZ charge in outer London
soon at £12

The intention I suspect is probably to edge towards cities being driverless. There will be public transport (buses, trams, subways) and probably a driverless taxi system eventually. Driverless deliveries and goods haulage also.

Cars will be for outside-of-major-cities transport.

I wouldn't really be against the idea if public transport was actually reliable.
