Default Andy destroys Sam and his BS story

As usual with 'ghost' stories its All about the person telling. Its to make them more important in a group, to give them attention and allure.. A very human need.

Andy clocked the beardy and exposed him as a fraud

Brilliant.

Andy FTW

It always amazes me when I see people taking this supernatural **** seriously...except when it's those on BB doing it. They are usually exactly the type of thiickards who think ghosts exist.

Well done to Andy for calling him out, but he blotted his copybook by apologising later. Why did he have to be so weak?

Yes. I believe he is, and it's looking like he is far too intelligent o have a conversation in there.

Nice to see him quoting Richard Dawkins too...although it really did fall on stoney ground.

I've done a Ouija board before, round a mate's house. The light bulb broke and the front door opened at the same time while we were doing it.

Not saying the three things were connected, but it happened

At a guess, I'm going to say the three things were not connected.

No he wasn't.

He only stated a couple of facts, and asked a couple of questions that anyone with half A brain cell would ask a nutter who claimed a clock or washing machine was moving for no good reason.

I believe he was rude and just you telling me I'm wrong doesn't change my mind. He could have been more tactful in the situation and remembered he's not a journalist anymore he could just allow others to believe what they want and stop being son judgementalk - no wonder none of them like him.

You might believe he was rude, but that doesn't mean that he was by any stretch of the imagination.

Being "more tactful" seems to equate to shutting up and ignoring logical thinking in your mind.

Why should he have to remember he's not a journalist anymore? So that low IQ nonentities can spout superstitious nonsense?

Hmmm. I'm thinking about why British TV is a hotbed of lumps of wood who can't string a coherent sentence together. Oh, I've got an idea! It might be because fellow lumps of wood think Andy shouldn't engage in a reasoned debate. Maybe that's it?

I think his apology was an acknowledgement that he might have been more tactful, which shows that he can reflect on his behaviour and the impact it has on those around him.

It seems that only those with extreme, outlandish and, dare I say it, ill-formed, opinions are entitled to express them and anyone who proffers a rational counter-argument is rude.

Andy must feel like the little boy who pointed out that the Emperor had forgtten to get dressed that morning.

Well, I hope the next time he voices an opinion he sticks by it.

Who says he has to be tactful when he is listening to donkeys talking s hite?

Now that he knows he has been nominated, he should tell them to stick their precious wee feelings up their chuff, and say what he wants...because he is the only one who hasn't got the brain of a midge.

So you would prefer him to just be fake and say "ooh Sam that sounds amazing?"

I would not like to be around fakes like that

I thought of LT during the exchange I liked that Andy said his piece he was just a little bit too superior in his view though and didn't put his point across well which was a shame, I think Se are seeing little snippets of bitchy Andy..opening the oven door as well

No as I said and you've ignored, I think he could have approached the conversation with more tact.

Being honest doesn't mean you have to be arrogant and try and belittle somebody else's opinion and beliefs.

I'm not a believer at all, but I've felt stuff before. Infact (you all wont believe me), but my workplace used to be an assylum (burnt down in the 70s and was rebuilt as a hotel wedding venue), and there is a place upstairs where the cleaning cupboard is.

That room which is on the 4th floor (where hardly anyone goes) used to be where they prepared dead bodies. I went up there once and went to get some cleaning products and no word of a lie, you know when someone comes really close to your ear when they whisper (hot breath urghh!), well, something literally pulled my earlobe and whispered, all I got was "get the".

I ran so quick and haven't been up there since! No one believed me until one of my friends had a small shelf pushed onto her (a shelf which was against the wall).

So, I'm a big "yeah kind of", so the Sam story to me is a "meh, maybe, but probably not".

I don't mind if people don't believe me. I have no reason to lie. I don't need to impress anyone

If someone doesn't agree I just say "OK, fair". Less than 5% of people encounter stuff like that, so basically no-one. I get people don't get agree because I was the same up until a couple of years ago.

One time I dreamt I was getting burnt with a bbq fork and the number 45 was being carved into my back... i woke up, as i left the house, there was a van outside with a 45 after the logo right outside my door.... Coincidence obviously.

In Britain alone, that would be about 3 million people, so can hardly be described as "basically no one".

Spookily weird that no one believes it...except that the nutters never have any evidence.

5% of the world population. I don't know how small here.

We don't have evidence of a lot of things but people still believe them. I don't have evidence, just my eyes, that's enough for me. Don't care enough to get evidence to convince people because I'm blase about the whole thing.

Everyone wonders. I think it is very human to ask yourself if there is more than just what we see to life/things. BB-wise, it may help to make that person seem much more relatable to have such conversations. On the other hand, it could be highly polarizing depending on the belief. The twins and their belief that they are aliens is one such example of that polarity...

I'm not one to tell ghost stories myself but I am heavily spiritual. Don't talk that much about it tbf because I don't really care what other people think. I just wouldn't completely write off each other's stories so easily. Everyone wonders. I also think that house also tends to force some silly conversations out of people's mouths... what else are you going to do when you are sat there with nothing else better to do than talk about nothing?

People who "wonder" usually have a need for reassurance that it doesn't all end when they die, or they don't understand science...or both.

Either way, until evidence of the supernatural is proved, religion and, superstition can be filed under man made delusion.

Well, if he was wise he would have kept his mouth shut. Andy that is.

I've learned in life that, wanting to expose liars and frauds isn't always the best course of action. Especially in a microcosm like the BB house.

You have to accommodate for all kinds of people in life. From all backgrounds and so on. You don't always have to call people to some kind of justice if you find out they're telling porky pies. Just let it go. Makes them feel good and removes the burden of the feeling of having to shame and expose them.

I don't like to argue or cause friction overy little things and Andy has done just that.

I'm going to have to say, I really didn't see the need for him to call him out.

Besides..... Things do go bump in the night.

And not just Marco and Laura's uglies.

Behave. He wasn't trying to "expose liars and frauds".

He was probably trying to encourage a discussion on why the things precious Sam was talking about don't have any evidence in reality (something most of the housemates seem detached from).

He had already alluded to BB several times that he would like a discussion on something more substantial than the usual b ollocks that the dullards talk about.
