PEOPLE tuning in to watch today’s This Morning were not impressed by presenting duo Rylan Clark-Neal and his husband Dan Neal.

The married couple made their debut as the first gay couple to host the ITV Daytime flagship show, however their presenting style did not go down well with viewers.

Many took to social media to criticise the pair, with one person angry tweeting: “Considering the amount of talent out there, it's insulting to presenters to have these two on #thismorning.”(sic)

Another audience member posted rather harshly on the micro-blogging site: “Did Rylan’s husband win a competition to be here today or something? He looks like a wax work model #thismorning #Timesmustbedesperate.”

“Bring your husband to work day on this morning? #thismorning,” said someone else.

Based off that clip Dan comes across very wooden so I'm not surprised reaction has been bad

Yeah, I saw some of it today. Rylan was fine because he's obviously used to the environment, but Dan was void of charisma and personality. Also, for a married couple they didn't have much chemistry at all. Dan just seemed to want the whole thing to be over and done with

From the clip I seen it wasn't that bad. Not here for Dan being an opportunist though
