Part time. Was doing 45+ hours a week up until last month as I am on a gap year awaiting to go to university in September. Then my hours got cut to 28 but with a little overtime it sits around the 31-32 hours a week mark. I’m fine with that as it’s nice to have a bit of a summer holiday before I embark on the next stage of my education!

Not really if you find cheap places to rent, only if you actually buy property there

Nope, but would ****ing love to. I can't at the min (and probably for a long time given docs have given up on fixing me ) but..I loved work. Karaokes were annoying sometimes, but it was overall fairly fun, especially being on 20-30 per hour. Bar work was, again annoying sometimes, but overall I loved it so much. So yeah, unemployed due to disability..

You have two primary school kiddies to look after that is a full time job in itself

Yeah, another downfall. I didn't mind doing late nights and lock ins (mind, I refused to serve anyone in the lockin unless they also bought me a drink as I didn't get paid for after 11pm..) but it was such a pain in the arse to get home. Until I moved above the pub I was working in of course! Don't know if I could deal with the 12 hour shifts and 4am finishes while I have the kids though..

Indeed. Honestly, a lot of the time I find being at home much much more stressful than I ever found work. At least I could have a crap at work without someone popping their head round the door to whinge that someone else has hit them with a spoon r something..

The split shifts were a pain in the hole aswell. There's no way I would have been doing that with young kids either and you can't be doing lock ins every second night if you have smallies either. I always wanted to run my own pub because I actually really enjoyed the work itself but it would be a whole life style choice really and too restricting I think

Yeah that was my plan..I actually still have a valid personal license. Think it runs out in 2 years or something.
