The Crystal Maze is set to return this month with a string of celebrity specials that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Richard Ayaode will guide the famous faces through the game show, which has 30 brand new games in store, and will lead them to the all important crystals in Aztec, Medieval, Futuristic and Industrial Zones. There will be five teams made up of an array of celebs, from sportsmen to reality TV stars, musicians to internet sensations, the Channel 4 hit show has pretty much covered all bases. Fans can expect a Derry Girl special, where cast members Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, Louisa Harland, Nicola Coughlan, Dylan Llewellyn and their team captain Saoirse Monica Jackson will bring 190s nostalgia to the maze and show their fans what they’ve got.

Also tackling the crystal dome will be sportsmen David Weir and Wayne Bridge, along with Countdown’s Rachel Riley, reality star Charlotte Crosby and tennis ambassador Judy Murray who will be captain of their team. Former England midfielder Dennis Wise looks like he’s got a challenge and a half on his hands, as he’ll be leading Katie Price, Happy Monday’s Bez, Made in Chelsea star Binky Felstead and DJ Roman Kem through the maze. Sounds like that could be a funny episode.

Double Olympic champ Dame Kelly Holmes will be taking charge of of MC Big Narstie, actress Jorgie Porter, YouTuber Alfie Deyes and long jumper Greg Rutherford. And Comedian Joe Wilkinson, Blue Peter’s Radzi Chinyanganya, broadcaster Kate Garraway and Pussycat Dolls star Ashley Roberts will help each other through the challenges with team captained Richard Madeley. The long list of celebs will face both mental and physical challenges and as always, will have the opportunity to swap their crystals for time in the dome.

Get prepared for some hilarious screening as their knowledge is put to the ultimate test.
