Innocent until proven guilty, it's not looking good for them if there is film of them pinning her down

Even with a film of it, they will get off and the girl will be blamed in some way or called a liar or something. I have no faith in the 'system' for rape/sexual assault cases anymore and cannot blame women for not reporting tbh given how they are treated when they do report.
-- Edit: Ah, spotted the part that will make it both her fault, and make her a liar Quote:

more laughing at these vile idiots, sorry but let it hopefully also be a lesson for football clubs to teach these players some manners in their social lives
because of this embarrassing incident, they had ruined their careers for good it is sad for the girl i know, but it is funny because what they did was so dumb and so so preventable

i feel sad for the girl, i Always feel sad for the victims of sexual assualt
but in this case, professional football players who did rape a girl in spain, umm sorry but i find that immature lowlife scum, and if i were the football club i would fine them and then fire them immediately i just laughed because i didn't expect this sort of behaviour coming from football players

When you look at the low conviction rates of rape across the board I wonder why anyone bothers reporting it. It's a ****ing epidemic and has been since time immemorial and the courts won't equip themselves with the right attitudes or approach to cases to deal with it. |

That's actually not true, police officers should and do log ell evidence and statements and do so without judgement. They have no bearing on how the trial goes down beyond their investigations and the evidence they unearth but as seen in a lot of rape trials, slutshaming and discrediting the victim is more important than determining whether consent was given or not.

This is a dangerous attitude to have, convictions of rape are critically low, I don't think you should spread fake news that makes them it seem like the system is against the defendant when it's obvious that the reverse is true. Have people been sent down for crimes they didn't commit? Absolutely, is it common enough to cite as an example to doubt rape victims and the police? No.

Look at the Irish rugby team story for an example of the opposite being true, evidence and testimony from the Taxi driver that picked the victim up afterwards painted a damning picture and there was other evidence that was disallowed in court for silly reasons that would have changed the verdict handed down.

That isnt to say people were not guilty but not everyone was and it has a ripple effect on everyone where even victims will automatically be judged if they are lying or not

They don't falsify charges to hit targets, if that was the case then rape convictions would be way higher than they actually are. |
