This kind of brings it home just what a sad affair this is, Blurry. I hope that she recovers and beats her demons.

Well apparently that was more recent after "falling off the wagon" etc.

I do feel bad for Demi Lovato though. She's a Disney kid (from a very young age), and frankly, so many of them seem to really struggle as they go into adulthood. I mean, a lot of child stars in general end up in trouble... look at Macaulay Culkin for example, who only just seems recently to be "coming back" to a healthy / normal life after being in real trouble since his teens. BUT Disney seems for some reason to have a much higher "percentage" of it's kid / teen stars going off the rails in their late teens and 20's. I think one probably has to question whether or not they're properly looking out for the health of their young stars.

...I didn’t realise that Demi was a Disney child, TS..I know very little about her tbh..but yeah, I think it only needed to be looked at in SeaWorld and the orcas as to that ‘underbelly’ of Disney which is present as well in the care and health of vulnerables...

...I do think Disney himself was very well intentioned and that proper care was taken...but it’s all become such a money making thing and far outreaches anything he could have imagined...so that’s where these things start to slip away as well, I feel...although I do feel..(..hopefully..)..that the majority do not slip through that net, that it’s only more a few but the few are what we look at, aren’t they...and hopefully more care so there isn’t even a few, TS..although some mental coping abilities can’t always be prevented whatever the care is the thing as well...there are some just unpreventables....

i'm not so sure it's a disney trait or anything like that to be honest. The "kids" that put themselves forward (or thrust there by parents) tend to a a particular personality trait.

Well balanced individuals tend to then be average achievers, those with a particular high level skill tend to be lacking in other areas.

For example, there are loads of comedians that suffer greatly from depression. We are what we are, and the people that tend to stand out in one thing have huge flaws in other ways in compensation.

True, and as I said there are obviously plenty of non-Disney examples, but it is nonetheless true that Disney seems to have a higher proportion of teen stars who go on to have issues than other creators of similar content. Not all to the extent of heroin abuse, but lots with issues. I don't think Disney try very hard to keep their child stars "grounded" at the time (lavishing them with praise, allowing them to make demands etc.) and they don't offer much of a "come down" after, basically, they big these kids up when they're very young and then cut them loose when they're no longer profitable in that demographic. Some find their way, others don't. Some find success but are still very unhappy.

I think Vanessa Hudgens is a good example to get an idea of their mindset; even though she seems to have done fine post-disney. She had success with them, they made a tonne of money out of the films she was in, and then she had pictures leaked (without her knowledge or consent) and rather than helping her / supporting her through that... they dropped her like a cold bag of sick to protect their "brand image"... which they seem to care about infinitely more than the wellbeing of the children and young people who work for them.

I may be incorrect on this one but, from what I know, 911 calls are public record and therefore anyone can request the logs and any recordings, and they literally have to give them.

But like any other public request for information you surely need a valid reason?
