Depends on if the policy was in place when he took the job, or was brought in later. If it was in the T&C when he started work he really doesn't have a leg to stand on. If it was previously OK and they've changed the rules, then he has a legitimate complaint.

Definitely not fair IMO

As for how it looks... Eh I've never tried a man bun before but one of my best friends has pretty recently switched to a man bun hair style and personally I think it fits him. It could be a good look. Like Tyler in this BBUS season rocks the man bun well I don't like this guy's man bun specifically though.

I also think it looks better with shorter hair / smaller man bun overall but anyway point is they should let him rock the bun!

...’he doesn’t have a leg to stand on’..(..sorry I’m having trouble doing that bold thing..)...but does he have a bun to wear while he’s not standing on that leg though, TS...surely it shouldn’t matter what the original policy was when he joined the airline..because that policy should have been updated in equality...if female staff can wear buns to keep their hair back when working then surely males should equally be allowed the same..?...it’s a bit like the shoes/heel thing that women have been asked to wear heels but males haven’t...and it has to be one rule for all in these things..?...otherwise it is sexist if that doesn’t apply...
