I wonder if some of these plot ideas were actually Yorke's or if Kate pitched in to the story stuff before the actually scripts started to get her credit because Jean has a visit with the doctor this week.

Tbf, I don't think much of the last 18 months has been Yorke either.

He seems to have worked at arm's length and just been the man to talk a bunch of actors into returning and casting people like Katie Jarvis. The actual running of the show seems to be down to Sharon Batten, which given the state of the show in the second half of DTC's tenure it seems to match. She's not very good and shouldn't be in any show running position at all.

I think the last two weeks or so have been clearly the handover period, definitely some of Kate’s influence there like the mixing of different character groups

The quality has massively improved too so it can’t be a coincidence!
