It really is, I think it's his most "mature" movie, I just love the vibe of it, it's very "cool". What beats it to your Top 3 then?

My top 4:

1. Jackie Brown
2. Pulp Fiction
3. Kill Bill 1
4. Reservoir Dogs

Most Tarantino Fans always put Jackie Brown last on their rankings. Don’t know why, it’s a brilliant film. It needs to be watched multiple times to enjoy it

I love everything about it, but my favourite scene is Ordell Killing Beaumont. Their conversation prior to that scene was hilarious, I almost piss myself every time I watch it. Louis unexpectedly killing Melanie is a close second

What’s your fav scene?

Haha yes they're great scenes! QT has a knack for conversational scripts! Melanie's death literally comes out of nowhere!

The ending for me. Her saying goodbye to Max and then that long drive away to the airport with Bobby Womack playing - beautiful.

You looking forward to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood? Trailer should be dropping anytime now. 5 months to go!

Yeah I can’t wait for ouatih, It’s got a Phenomenal cast- probably Tarantino’s best cast.

You’ve done a great job on that thread of yours and keeping us all up to date Shame Burt Reynolds couldn’t be in it. I was really looking forward to him.

Hopefully this is the Film that will get Quentin’s long overdue Oscar

Thanks so much! Yes Burt's passing was terribly sad and such bad timing. If this movie shapes up to be the smash it's going to be then it would have been a perfect send-off for him.

I need to update that thread with some videos I found around YouTube, you reminded me!

Green Book - 9/10

One of the most enjoyable and heartfelt films I've seen in a while

Solo - 7/10

Entertaining enough but don't think I'd watch it again. And what the hell was up with
Spoiler:

Darth Mauls appearance at the end - What does this mean? Is this ever gonna be explained?

They brought Maul back in one of the animated shows. Apparently him getting cut in half and falling hundreds of feet was no problem.

They killed him off again in a different series - Solo is set in between. I guess they would have explored the character further in a Solo sequel if the first one hadn't flopped.

Thanks, so he won't have any impact in episode 9 then sadly, I thought that's what they might have been heading towards. Just seemed quite random to put that in at the very end of the film with no foreshadowing and no hint at what it might mean for future films

Midnight Sun 9/10

Oh my god I already knew I was gonna like this film bc I am a sucker for romance and it has Bella Thorne in it but omg I didn't expect to like it so much They were so cute together but you knew something would go wrong UGH that moment when they're racing back to the house and she's panicking and he doesn't know what's happening and she's just so weak by the end and you KNOW she's gonna die but it's still sad when you realise that that night that was supposed to be their best night actually killed her </3333 when she said she wanted to go sailing with him knowing it would be the death of her my HEART omg but it's when she'd died and her song came on the radio oof that got me am a wreck now but this film is so ****ing good literally

Rewatched Philadelphia, such a good movie, I hadn't watched it in years but it really brought me back to those times in the early 90's, it really was the way people were around AIDS back then, there was such a fear of it because it was such a new and scary disease. Amazing aswell the progress they've made with it in a relatively short amount of time. Tom Hanks was amazing in the role 9.5/10

The Hate U Give 10/10

wow. this fooked me up so much I hate white people. I don't even know what to say it was just so ****ing amazing the best film I've watched in a LONG time and I don't even watch that many films. would deffo recommend so uncomfortable at times but that's what makes it so good and it's actually realistic? like I could see something like that happening irl and that's so scary

Spoiler:

the first gunshots / khalil's death / the whole scene outside the restaurant / starr vs hailey / 'fried chicken' / when she snitched / the protest / her throwing the gas back / king setting fire to the shop / SEKANI WITH THE GUN omg all these moments and more ugh what a great film

Green Book - Based on a true story, it's a really lovely film, upsetting at times but also funny and the relationship between Don Shirley and Tony Lips is lovely 9/10

Check out Wrong Turn 2, a rare occasion where the sequel is far better than the original but stop watching there as the rest of the franchise sucks lol.

I reluctantly watched this recently and so glad i did! The 2 main actors are perfect in their roles and although the story is heart breaking its soooo uplifting at the same time

And as I always do (and usually end up ruining movies for myself) I did a google afterwards just to see how much was truth and how much artistic licence and pretty much everything that happened in the film actually happened. The only thing that was exaggerated a bit was :

Spoiler:

When Don Shirley gets caught in the pool naked with that guy, it kind of happened but not so blatantly. He wasn't naked and there was no other man there but after Tony paid the security guys off, Don told Tony that he'd been hitting on some guys so I think the film just made it a bit more clear that Don was probably gay

Just me and Lukey home tonight so we're getting take Away and having a movie marathon, the schedule is :

The Exorcism of Emily Rose
Truth or dare
30 Minutes or Less

The Exorcism Of Emily Rose is literally the only horror film that makes me physically cry lol, Truth Or Dare is really good seen it recently.

A massive recommendation from me seeing as we both have amazing taste, watch Ben Is Back. You wont regret it
