Please note: Having a wank in a copy of the Beano doesnt mean you are taking part in Comic Relief.

I think that people will always try to be charitable.

I think the question is if people can afford to be charitable sometimes.

No.

I think the fact that you can't donate any less than a tenner most of the time is a bit of a piss-take though. Remember when you could give a couple of quid? Times are hard.

Like tonight on Comic Relief, a mosquito net is only £2... But I have to at least donate £10 and pay for 5 to be of any help at all.

I'd feel alot better knowing I paid for one or two mosquito nets and potentially save two lives rather than feeling awful that I can't spare a tenner because I'm broke yano?

Sorry Cherie but I don't find purchasing a plastic red nose to shove on your noggin for one day before tossing it in the bin to damage the planet very charitable at all.

I didn't watch it but flicking over I saw you couldn't donate less than a tenner which is very steep, there should have been at least a 5.00 option

also Mosquito nets........its never ending how much money needs raising for these 2.00 items

I think so many charitable organisations have been found to be dodgy AF (stealing or just flat out abusing the people they're meant to be helping) that it's made people more hesitant about giving at all.

I think people are starting to realise that even after all the decades these things have been going on, all of the money that has ever been raised and donated, nothing has ever actually changed, so what’s the point? It’s all well and good to try and do good by poor nations, but when no advances have been still, it makes the mind boggle why we aren’t putting some of this money towards things at home instead, there are many causes at home that could benefit from it as well.

Jezza has my back....he debated this yesterday

Is the future black for Red Nose Day? Donations were down by £8m this year. People on the left have criticised the charity over "white saviours" like Stacey Dooley, while those on the right say it's a socialist plot by the BBC. If you've stopped giving money, tell us why.

There are a few reasons people have stopped giving money

the white saviour issue would have been one of them, but on top of that the scandal at Oxfam last year and other charities where directors have big fat salaries and perks, but most of all because all the money in the world doesn't seem to achieve anything, sorry to keep banging on about mosquito nets but these have formed part of the Comic relief aid sinces its inception and nothing has changed?
