Default Anyone else not watching?

I wont be watching Big Brothar at all any more. Infact I've realised how sad I've been really getting into the show since the 5th series. Each year its becoming more of a flop and its getting really sad old and tired. I'm sure there has to be at least one more person here agreeing with me. The only reason I've stayed on TIBB is because of the friendliness and un related topics. On the bright side, previous houemates were umbeleivably amazing, but thats about it.

I know everyones going to slack back and try to throw out awkward questions, but it's just MY opinion, so I wont answer questions anyone asks.

Try BBUSA

I know what you mean though, it really hit it's peak with BB5 and has never been able to live up to that, BB7 was heading in the right direction but became over the top and too manipulated. BB8 was in my opinion the worst ever series of Big Brother and the first time ever that I turned off two weeks before the end because it was boring the hell out of me, every night was an argument about food.

But I do believe BB:CH will be decent, because it's fresh, it's new and I'm hoping it's a BB where the producers get to try out some new ideas, experiment with new formats and rule changes and based on which ideas work best then they can adapt them into the main series BB9.

I think the producers know now that BB9 has to be really different otherwise it will flop and kill BB forever, people won't go for two flop series in a row. I think they are looking at international BB's and seeing what new formats they can add to our version to make it better. With the announcement of the new Big Brother Around The World show, it shows that they are definitely looking elsewhere for ideas.

Thanks for the advise Redmond.

I like BBAUS have started to watch a bit of BBUS over the summer. Hopefully I'll grow to that for the new series.

You say that now, but I bet you'll end up watching BB:CH and BB9. Everybody does.

Yeah, wasn't even a big fan of BB anyway.
But I'm not gonna watch next year. IMO it's gone on a couple of series too many.

Totally agree with you there mrs_rko. It went to far about 3 series ago! After CBB4 Big Brothers popularity fell harshly (excluding the first/ast weeks of BB7) Even if it went for a 3 - 4 year break it would be better in the long run.

Yeah starts February 12th, mark it in your calendar.

I've never watched the Oz version, the only other version I've seen is BBUSA which I thought I would hate because of the way it's produced with the backing music and stuff, but I'm hooked on it, it's so different in terms of game playing to our series.

I'm just saying it's easy to say "I'm not watching it anymore", but come May next year when the new eye is released, rumours start, photos of the house appear in the paper and then the teasers start, if you can still say you won't be watching it then fair enough.

But like most people, curiousity gets the better of them and they end up watching at least the launch just to see if it's better than the last series. I admit BB8 was a disaster but I have high expectations for BB:CH and hopefully the producers will pull their fingers out for BB9.

Apparently BB Aussie will start earlier, in march or something due to the strikes....

Wouldn't you at least give it a try for the first week, or even just the first night to see if they made any big changes that might better the show and also to see what type of housemates they had?

I'm with you in a sense of "if it's crap, if it's another BB8" I'll switch off way earlier than I did this year but no way would I be able to resist watching all together. I'd be too intrigued to see what they had in store on launch night and to see the look of the new housemates. Then I'd give it about three weeks and if it was boring I'd switch off and stick with BBUSA for the summer.

Im tempted, but I'm fed up with it invading my life all the time, for a while nearly all my stuff was Big Brother related *the shame! lol*

I need to get of the hook and try something new. Since its not publiciced at all over here, and its not on every night BBUS will be handy for me.

I doubt you yourself are even 100% sure. When the hype begins and rumours start your opinion may change.

I won't be watching since I haven't got the patience to watch online...
And my skybox doesn't have E4.

I think we have it downstairs, but the whole family will be in there watching whatever they want to watch.

I might try to find a way around it though, or see if it's downloadable.
