Default Tesla cites Brexit as Germany chosen over UK for European plant

Tesla’s boss Elon Musk has said Brexit uncertainty played a role in the firm’s decision to build its first European factory in Germany rather than the UK.

The billionaire entrepreneur revealed that the firm’s European battery plant would be built on the outskirts of Berlin.

Speaking to Auto Express after making the announcement, Musk said: “Brexit [uncertainty] made it too risky to put a gigafactory in the UK.”

The US electric carmaker also plans to locate a research and development base in the German capital.

of course, another attempt to shove it all onto labour

the blame is with the ''brexit'' part, ''brexit britain'' is flawed, and that lies onto the conservatives, and that self-absorbed a-hole farage with brexit party elitist goons

if there was no brexit whatsoever, Musk would've chosen UK, not Germany

Nothing will ever be viewed as the fault of brexit to the extremists. Rather than understanding there is no deal better than the one we have, they'll seek to blame anyone and everyone except brexit and those who pushed it.

not to forget, some of those brexit party deluded idiots (grant sisters, most loyal farage fans) who had said rather disgusting things about EU, europe

so yeah Musk is right, it would be bad for trade with europe to put that plant in UK, so he's very wise to prefer Germany as their location

I don't understand this, when immigrants disappear jobs will too..how?

With regard to Tesla if Musk wants to have a plant in Europe, if there's the risk we won't be in Europe when it opens then it's obvious he won't want it here :/
