Season 1: Borneo: Episode 13- The Final Four

So here we are, the season finale!

Shame we don't have Probst in the studio, makes it even more epic.

Oooo the challenge straight away- and at Tribal too!

Not- 'Who's shirt is this?' and then letting them all personally smell it!

Kelly wins immunity when she needs it most and the other's are seething!!

So no break between the challenge and the vote, that's a real shame.

Oh snap, a tie. At this stage I so want Sue to stay.

Can tell Sue is fuming, real shame she's gone as provided a lot of entertainment.

Boots- (In order of faves)

Sue
Greg
Jenna
Ramona
Gervase
Sonja
BB
Sean - This low because wtf is an 'alphabet strategy'
Joel
Colleen
Gretchen
Dirk
Stacey

Lol at the overly emotional music over the montage of past players.

This challenge is iconic. I remember it being done in Australian Survivor 1 where Kristie fell to the floor dramatically after several hours- great TV.

Rich dropping could have been such a risk, but he is right and a gamble could pay off.

Probst telling Richard that he’s sat there waiting for one of them to win and not doing any work

Feel really sorry for Rudy, taking his hand off after over four hours was a genuine mistake, but that’s Survivor!

All in all I think Kelly should take Rudy, he’s more of an ostracizing character than Richard who can make his humor likable, but they have stepped on toes.

Wish they’d given time for Richard/Rudy to plead their cases!

Kelly brought the urn back, was that intentional?

The burning of the shelter is very symbolic, and I wish it’d been kept a tradition.

Pretty solid final two, both have played brilliant games.

Love the jury’s narration as they walk to the final tribal.

Sue: ‘I can’t wait to get up there tonight’- OH DAYUM.

Sean- ‘I don’t have any questions!’- just a speech?

‘FNF’- Fat, Naked, Fag… oh deary me.

Rudy ‘I don’t have anything to say I just want to let everyone know how dum I feel after the mistake I made yesterday!’ ICONIC.

Sue’s Snakes VS Rats speech: Seriously one of the most iconic jury speeches of all time. Incredibly harsh and over the top but brilliant. ‘The way mother nature intended…’ This is one of the biggest Survivor moments I think of. The jury speeches were a bit crap until then, Greg’s whole ‘Pick a number’ thing then Sue comes and absolutely slam dunks everyone with that speech- wow!

Nice we are seeing the whole explanations of jury votes.

Rich deserved the win in the end, exciting how it was so close, Kelly did play a brilliant game though but it was her going against her alliance that sealed the deal.

Overall Ranking
Sue
Rudy
Greg
Rich

Kelly
Jenna
Ramona
Gervase

Sonja
BB
Sean
Joel
Colleen
Gretchen

Dirk
Stacey

Will be posting my overall season thoughts/reunion thoughts this weekend!

Overall Season Thoughts/& Reunion

Reunion wise, a really good reunion with fair questions- preferred the host not being Probst actually and someone completely different, a viewer like ourselves. Rudy being cheered after answering if his pre-conceived ideas about homosexuals have changed and answering no is hilarious, think to a modern day audience he'd be booed. Rudy applying for Survivor 2 Kelly saying the word 'alliance' is dirty and made the game not fun, well for us viewers it made it very interesting. Gretchen seemed very switched on about the game and separating yourself from the game, wish we'd seen more of her. Like the audience questions, feel the reunions should be longer and more fan/audience led. Colleen/Greg admitting they lied about the sex to make good tv- interesting!

Overall- Brilliant first season that sets the trail for almost 40 seasons of Survivor. The game play of the alliance and the race to the finale was brilliant television with some unforgettable survivor characters. Watching nearly 20 years later it is definitely dated with a bit of a slow-burner of a start but I can see how the format has lasted and how initially America was hooked.

Overall Ranking
Sue- Such a goofy lovable character with one of the most iconic jury speeches ever.
Rudy- Hilarious and set in his ways, shame he went out third due to a mistake.
Greg- Brilliant TV, the coconut phone and some great confessionals.
Rich- A worthy winner, great game play.

Kelly- Very interesting game play, kept a viewer guessing.
Jenna- Was a rootable character in the end I wanted to beat the alliance.
Ramona- We didn't see enough of Ramona! She had such potential!
Gervase- Very funny and likable character.

Sonja- A lovely woman who went too early. Her ukelele.
BB- Angry old man, a meaner Rudy.
Sean- Alphabet strategy, what even... that's all I'll say.
Joel- A bit of a non factor, some entertaining moments, silly game play.
Colleen- America's sweet heart, but also quite dull.
Gretchen- Liked inm the end but at the start a bit of a non factor.

Dirk- The religious one, went early.
Stacey- Only known for her fued with Stacey.

Onto Australia next in a few weeks!

Yeah I found Colleen dull, and?

Anyway, here's my season 2 re-watch!

Survivor 2: The Australian Outback: Episode 1

LOVE the setting change, they should do Australia again soon, bored of Fiji currently!

NOT '42 days...', thought they'd extend it huh?

Really miss the shots of them in their everyday life as they are all introduced coming off the plane.

Varner looks... thin.

The excitement of early years survivor is really there, and I'm excited for them!

Debb coming across as quite short tempered already.

Refreshing seeing some of the hut building, don't get that in newer seasons as much.

Yes Jerri looking for reasons already to vote someone off!

Not 'Where the hell am I gonna masturbate out here!?' BLIMEY.

Gross, Michael biting into a bug filled fig.

Alicia's silver bikkini is already iconic.

The scale of this first challenge is pretty impressive, the three different stages, mind you Survivor challenges I always find impressive as to how long they would have taken to construct/think of.

Episode highlight: Kimmi nearly being flattened by her team's overturning raft

Varner was a potential first boot, ouch.

I fondly remember how damn cool the tribal setting was for this season, on the edge of a waterfall, incredible stuff. Probably one of the coolest tribal settings in the 39 season history of the show.

There's some strong characters in this tribe, will be interesting to see who goes, not sure who's screaming first boot, can't remember who goes, maybe Rodger?

Is my video flipped or is Probst speaking to them from a different side than he usually does?

Feel sorry for Debb, could have been an interesting character later on as she was so strong willed.

Boots (In order of faves)-

Debb-

Survivor 2: The Australian Outback: Episode 2

The importance of food, the Kel fishing segment was interesting. The survivors saying 'There's no fish down there' and the camera panning down to fish.

Wow- Probst really is stood on the edge of that cliff.

The encouragement for Rodger swimming was lovely though I fear e will be the second boot if his tribe loose again!

Not a gourmet chef not being able to serve nice rice!?

Keith talking about hard 'physical labour' as he throws two tiny twigs off the cliff.

'Aspiring actress' Jerri taking over cooking from professional chef Keith is brilliant.

Mike's prayer where he basically tells the tribe that he is the new leader of the tribe, lol.

Jerri and the beef jerky rumors: can see why she was one of the first 'villains' of the show!

Interesting seeing these initial days play out, I do feel they were wrong for searching Kal's bag without asking him.

Good on KImmi for keeping her morals, takes a strong person.

Elisabeth and her weird head-dresses eugh.

NOT Survivor Bushtucker trials haha.

Mad dog taking out her gnashers is a top tier Survivor moment.

Big respect to Kimmi for eating the worm and winning the challenge.

I like Kel so far, he seems promising, don't remember much from him, hope he isn't a second boot.

Probst asking the questions we want to hear!!

NOT winner Tina on her first tribal- 'I should be the one to go!'

Kel is cancelled for voting Jerri.

Marilyn is ICONIC for quoting legend Sue- 'If you were dying of thirst...;

Am sad to see Kel go, he seemed an interesting character,

Boots (In order of faves)-

Survivor 2: The Australian Outback: Episode 3

The struggle for food and nutrition/survival is much more prevalent in these earlier seasons, all we see is strategy nowadays, I like a mix of both.

Remember this water challenge being really good!

As if Mike's pole actually snapped

Love the comment from Mitchell that all eyes were on Keith gutting the fish as he was playing the role of instructor so they knew his skills.

Ooer, Colby and Jerri, can see why she was painted as evil- 'If it comes down to voting for Colby, I would!'

Jeff/Alicia strategy talk- Still not liking Jeff, maybe because I know of how he is in later seasons. Love Alicia though.

The exhaustion and starvation factors of Survivor I'd find the hardest, I think so far in this season more than any other you can really see that affecting the survivors.

Tina has her eyes on the game, I respect that.

Keith is a FOOL for wanting Marilyn to stay, he's the other option surely?

The Tina/Jerri/Colby/Amber/Mitchell alliance- I dig it.

Hey- turns out Mad Dog really isn't that much of a Mad Dog (War Dog anyone???) But at least she gave Amber her hat.

She was a bit dull, didn't really fight to stay either. Her parting words were cute though 'Am I alive, did this really happen?'

Boots (In order of faves)-

So I’ve gotten into Survivor! And I have also recently finished watching Survivor Borneo over the past week and I really enjoyed it. I’ve never watched Survivor before, and I’m glad I started with this one. It’s a lot like BBUK1 in that it’s quite basic, but it flowed together really well, and I was always interested in the islanders throughout, which was a good, likeable cast (Dirk was the only one I didn’t like) as well as the individual storylines. Would definitely recommend.

I was glad that Richard won in the end, because he brought strategy to the game for the first time that nobody else ever had. As a person he’s ok I guess, but this season probably would not have been the same without him. I think he’s like Nasty Nick but better. But I was glad that in the end, it was what Mother Nature intended, and the snake ate the rat.

Edgic (Another new thing!)

Survivor 2: The Australian Outback: Episode 4

'I didn't come out here to be pushed around my some bartender wannabe actress!'

The shot of Mike holding a knife whilst looking at the chickens had me in stitches, wants to hill them asap as he is the 'food giver' and wants to go back to that!

Those bush fires are crazy, then the way it zooms in on the camp which is actually quite close...

I feel like the strategy talk has gone waaaay up since Borneo. It's nice to see the show coming into it's own!

Michael running after the pig is truly horrifying television, the shot of him stabbing it repeatedly with the sequels is vile.

'This is like a murder scene!'

I wish there'd be more trivia challenges on modern day Survivor, they are always brilliant on The Challenge!

A TIE! Is this the first? Dayum. 'In the spirit of the olympics, let the games begin!'- go Tina.

Mitchell's 'save me' speech- 'Keith is stronger.'

Not another tie! People just ain't budgin! Please be rocks.

That's ridiculous stuff. 'Votes cast in previous tribals' shouldn't count, this is a fresh tribal. Wanted Mitchell to go though over Keith so Tina stays winning but still think it was unjust!

Liked Mitchell, was a strong character and a number for Jerri's side, a bit weak though physically unfortunately.

Boots (In order of faves)-

Debb
Mitchell
Kel
Mad Dog

Vote countback was a great tiebreaker method and added a whole nother layer to the strategy. And the Mitchell vote off is soooooooo important in the history of Survivor. Keith was slated to be the next boot but Tina realized that it would just make her in the firing line, she tried to flip Colby and Mitchell to vote against Amber with her and Keith but Mitchell wouldn't budge, so then Tina convinces Colby on the walk to Tribal Council that they need to get rid of Mitchell in order to keep the tribe strong since he's suffering physically out there and getting weaker.

It doesn't seem monumental at all, but this was still in an early enough time in Survivor that forming alliances to begin with was seen as immoral, let alone making a move to flip on your alliance and form a new one for entirely self-interested reasons. Tina completely ****ed with Colby and basically told him that if he remained loyal to his alliance with Mitchell/Jerri/Amber, then he would be going against everything that he preaches about maintaining a strong tribe and he would show America that he cares more about his alliance than who works hard and ~deserves~ to be there, something weighing heavily on everyone's minds after 50+ million people watched the Borneo finale in pure disgust at the Tagi 4 for breaking the game.

And now, talking on the way to Tribal Council is prohibited. All because of a revolutionary power move Tina made on the way to Tribal Council. In the spirit of the Olympics, let the games begin!

I’m halfway through this season, and I like Countback too, but I wonder what would happen if somebody lied about how many votes they had previously to stay in the game?

Finished Survivor Australia! (Spoilered for Joe’s benefit)

Spoiler:

1. Jerri - Idc what anybody says Jerri *was* Survivor Australia. Such a compelling character that kept me gripped from the start all the way up until her boot. Her out-there personality rubbed everyone up the wrong way, and she absolutely loved it Her hatred of Keith, his rice, and his compliments Her one-sided relationship with Colby Her chocolate/sex comparisons which pissed Colby off And finally, when she found a note which said that someone was medically evacuated and she just said “Oh no.” in THE most deadpan voice possible and told Tina that Roger had a stroke

2. Tina - Tina’s really underrated imo, besides from her side of being very sweet and nice, she could also be very sneaky, and I mean that in a good way. She was very good outside of strategy, such as Tina Vs Jerri and her occasional snarky comments which nobody even noticed because it’s Tina. A great winner. In the spirit of the Olympics, let the games begin! You seem like a great guy but you said that you were tired of playing the game and you weren’t having fun anymore, so here’s your ticket buddy!

Jeff: “$60 for 4 Doritos and dip. Tina, I know how much you love Doritos!”
Tina: “I do, but that’s like $10 a chip.

3. Kimmi - An early series howl, was sad that she was cut so short but she packed a lot into her 15-day stay, so much that it feels weird to say she only lasted that long.

4. Elisabeth - So when I started watching and saw Elisabeth come on screen I was like ohhhhh ffs it’s Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s season and I’ve watched The View a fair bit so was expecting… a much different Elisabeth than we got She came across really well and I liked her a lot. (Keith counts all 50 states in the balance comp) E: “Boy have things sure got fun around here

5. Rodger - Such a lovely guy, it was like reliving The Donny Thompson Experience all over again. Never heard anything remotely bad come out of his mouth and I rate that /has jerri at number 1

6. Keith - I kind of like Keith, which I assume is an unpopular opinion? A bit of an obnoxious moron at times, who’s admittedly not too exciting on his own but the guy’s a natural conflict rod who everybody wanted out and idk I just like that Think Hardeep but not as good.

7. Maralyn - Mad Dog She seemed like she was just coming into her own and then she gets booted. A shame. (removes teeth)

8. Kel - Poor Kel got chucked off the island because he had the audacity to eat some grass that looked like Beef Jerky He seemed nice and he could have done with staying at least a little bit longer.

9. Debb - A fairly big character to the first episode but she wasn’t much of a loss unfortunately, and in terms of Survivor Australia, an after-thought. Fun Fact: She dated her stepson after her husband died.

10. Colby - A lot of people hate him but I don’t get the hate, nor do I particularly *like* him either, I’m neutral on him. I think he made a big mistake taking Tina to the final 2 though...

11. Alicia - She might have gotten in one fight one time but apart from that… Alicia’s kind of boring? I hear she’s pretty awful in All Stars too

12. Amber - I have very little to say on Amber as she was barely shown, although I assume that changes in All Stars.

13. Nick - Really boring for someone who I originally thought was one of the big characters of this season going in

14. Mitchell - He’s 7 feet tall. Can’t think of anything else to say.

15. Jeff - Annoying, boring, smarmy dick. (This placement does not take into account his recent disgraceful re-attempt at this game)

16. Michael - Some people like Mike in this season, but **** no, he creeped me out far too much. Idk if it’s because I know he’s a raging nonce now but I just found him creepy and it killed me to have to give him an OTTPP5 in his leaving episode.

Edgic
Spoiler:

Overall, a very good season, which I enjoyed just as much as Borneo. Hopefully I’ll start Africa soon because I hear The Frank Garrison Experience is a great one. Adios!

Survivor 2: The Australian Outback: Episode 5

So the first chicken being cooked, and the infamous chicken fight is coming up!

Do I feel sorry for Kimmi? In a way yes because she's forced to see what's happening. The 'should we kill the chickens' story line is a classic Survivor moment that re-appears season after season.

Annoying we start the fight as it had already started, it's such an iconic moment in Survivor history.

'I WILL ALWAYS WAVE MY FINGER IN YOUR FACE!' <3

'I wanted to run up and grab her by the throat!'- Jheez, Alicia is THE original Bad Girls Club star.

Not Kimmi having a dirt tan line, she is truly the star of this episode!

As if the survivors on the stretchers are called 'The victims' at this challenge, how ominous!

I just love that the equivalent of Target sponsoring this challenge is Sainsbury's sponsoring a challenge

Not sure if the health and safety would have necessarily passed this challenge in today's age...

Kimmi's celebratory bath omg.

The scale of this challenge is yet again, extremely impressive- two weeks to build! Makes me wish that one season we could see a proper behind the scenes Survivor special where we could learn about the building of challenges etc.

I'd LOVE to play this maze challenge personally.

Wow Ogakor absolutely SMOKED Kucha in that challenge, not even a competition!

Mike is so annoying the way he keeps saying he was the leader because he brought in food.

Tribal council questions aren't as probing as they are in more recent seasons, I guess it's quite nice though that the vote is more of a mystery- but I need to know the strategy!

Do miss hearing- 'If anyone has a hidden immunity idol...'

NOT MISS KIMMI, she absolutely was the best this episode! Says a lot she only lasted five episodes though, but then I remember how much of a ghost she was on 'Game Changers'!

Boots (In order of faves)-

Kimmi
Debb
Mitchell
Kel
Mad Dog

The first big med-evac next ep!

Kimmi being a ghost on Cambodia is much more of an indictment of Cambodia than it is of Kimmi.

Also, the ~strategy~ of Outback was very meta and under the radar because everyone was forced into strategizing in a way where they don't present themselves as being people concerned about the game. It's the whole mission statement for Tina actually being shrewd and calculating and cutthroat but having to mask it under the motherly figure who wants The Deserving People to make it to the end. It was all in reaction to how the Tagi 4 were perceived by America.

I was surprised to like Kimmi in Australia after she was the dreaded combo of boring & annoying on Cambodia. But somehow it happened

Survivor Africa

1. Frank - (This is one of my longer write ups but it’s a good one nonetheless) FRANK Such a strange creature that I enjoyed the whole way through, yes as a person I’m not *that* keen on him, but as a character I could watch him all day long. Frank is a very blunt and unsociable person but as Teresa put it, “What can I say about Frank other than, Frank is Frank.” Highlights from The Frank Garrison Journey include but are not limited to:
- Refusing to take a break from lighting a fire because he had his break when he spent 9 months inside his mother’s womb.
- Describing his military service as “It’s called FREEDOM.”
- Objecting to Lindsey having a friendship bracelet because nonsense does not come before fire, shelter or water.
- Spending his birthday carving his children’s names into a tree.
- Being 43 years old and not having heard the term “brunch” before and having to ask Kim if it was a combination of breakfast and lunch, and then asking when it is consumed.
- Wanting to collect wood as opposed to meeting the new tribe members.
- Saying that he connects more with the elephants than most of the people in his tribe.
- Describing the merge as being invited to a Wagner family reunion when your last name is Smith.
- Playing Never Have I Ever for the first time and following Tom’s confession that Kim Johnson “turns him on” and Teresa having sex in an airplane, with his own confession that he has never broken the honour of a handshake, then going to collect more wood instead of hearing other people’s turns.
- Having a confessional that he loves to mingle with people (self-awareness isn’t really Frank’s thing in this area)
- Deciding that the day he was most likely getting voted out was the day to come out as a conservative who hates the liberal media and anti-gun activists.
(I could go on and on. )

2. Kelly - Kelly is a very witty person who was a delight once she crawled out of the UTR1 pit she got herself stuck into for the first few episodes.
“Frank is a very big loner, he socially seems so inept, I mean a guess a large portion of the population is introverted and anti social, and that’s....... fine, but i feel like there are prescription drugs to counteract that and he should be on them!
“Lex is soooo politicing for a win, and that!s fine, but just watching him kiss Tom’s ass in front of everyone, in his Dad Voice, annoys me. Am I the only one who noticed this?
(after Lex tells Clarence that he is going home) “Oh and as if that’s more ethical, Lex is like oh I can’t bold face lie to him! Ok you can just lie to him all day when it would be inconvenient to tell him the truth, but then at the last possible moment you slip in the truth and that makes you an ethical person. OKAY. I really like Clarence, the kid has really grown on me. He’s part of the group. Unlike Crazy Outcast Frank!
“This morning, Lex was just a total jerk, I mean, what do you expect in this game? Somebody voted for you, Mr Ego. Deal with it. Okay, it really wasn’t me, but screw you Lex!”
“Benjamin, isn’t there something you want to tell me? Oh yes Mrs Robinson, thank you for the opportuni… No, no, Benjamin. The room number. 568. The Graduate’s my favourite movie. Congratulations!

3. Lex - I know that Lex isn’t popular among the people who watch Survivor here and I totally get it. Lex can be a ****ing asshole, and WAS one for a large portion of the game. But that just endeared him more to me for some reason I really enjoyed the transition from obnoxious MOR person who was trying to be everyone’s Dad to this CPN-turned OTTN maniac who was a contender the most paranoid person alive and inadvertently threatened to slit Teresa’s throat The only objection I have to this is that it led to the demise of angel Kelly Goldsmith </3

4. Lindsey - I really enjoyed Lindsey! Not quite the OTTN5 mess everyone makes her out to be but still a very enjoyable one nonetheless, who announced to the whole tribe that she was on her period, which Frank did not appreciate. I AM A WALKING MISTAKE DROP DEAD FRANK

5. Linda - Lmao what a mess Her obsession with Africa to the point where she didn’t like people joking about it was a hoot, and Brandon summed her up perfectly when he described her as a typical crazy mom.

6. Clarence - I felt really sorry for Clarence in the beginning as the treatment of him was pretty uncomfortable to watch, but he solidified himself in Green Zone when he dragged Diane as he voted her off by telling her she was nothing like his mother and he was ashamed to have once thought otherwise Fun Fact: He auditioned for BBUS2 but they thought he was better suited for this instead. So he went from Mike Boogie to Big Tom and what a choice that is

7. Teresa - Slightly overrated but still enjoyable nonetheless. And let’s not forget the time she was just like ok let’s all admit who were voting out before the TC! All out in the open! And if it wasn’t for her, we may not have gotten Crazy Lex so there’s also that!

8. Brandon - Brandon was quite witty and I enjoyed him for the role that he played in this season. Someone on Sucks described him as the cynical eye-roller of the season and I feel like that sums him up fairly well? “I would rather go home than align with Frank”

9. Kim Johnson - A lovely woman but I’m not entirely sure she’s worth all the hype she gets, although I did like the sneaky dig at Tom being a sexist in her JURY SPEECH of all times

10. Carl - Pretty irrelevant but being an old guy who is voted out third for having a Mercedes is a hilarious arc to me

11. Silas - Silas was fine I guess but for a CPNer, he didn’t leave that much of an impression on me. And sorry to bring up edgic again but I weirdly like how his edgic goes 1/2/3/4/5

12. Kim Powers - Kim was fine but she left little impression on me other than that she hated Lex and that’s pretty much it?

13. Ethan - Nice guy but dull sorry about it.

14. Jessie - Seemed fine but left too early for me to make a decision.

15. Diane - This twat Imagine becoming ill, having someone take care of you, and then throwing that person under the bus because lmao why not. Because that’s what Diane did to poor Clarence who gave her a tin of beans to get her strength up, which was a nice thing to do, albeit not the smartest thing to do but w/e, and when he was getting screamed at by everyone, she was like yeah but I didn’t ask you to do that. Miserable, ungrateful dickhead who I’m glad went first.

16. Tom - Everyone referred to him as Big Tom to make him seem like an influential person and somehow this idiot was a fan favourite? On the first night, because Clarence gave Diane some beans, he legit screamed at him, made him apologise to everybody in the tribe, threatened to SHOOT him, and went on about how he’ll forgive, but never forget, and all this was pretty sad to watch. But aside from this, Big Tom is so boring, who’s personality traits are that he is southern, old and big, which last time I checked aren’t personality traits? The fact that I’ve got another season of him too is… something I don’t look forward to.

Edgic
Spoiler:

Overall, this was a very good season! I could be wrong, but people say that this is not a very good season but I enjoyed it a lot and it was really hard to choose between Kelly and Frank but gave it to Frank in the end. Would definitely recommend this season, as well as the other two.

I like how so many people had no clue what they were doing in the early seasons

(I mean plenty still don't but there was something fun about how only a handful or less truly knew any kind of good strategy on this show early on lol)

Survivor 2: The Australian Outback: Episode 6

The strategising before the 'merger', interesting stuff.

Varner is just extremely unlikable isn't he!

Jerri describing her ultimate fantasy to the camera, pouring chocolate over a guy whilst having sex with him, lol.

'I may be a lot of things, but I ain't no hershey bar!?'- Colby quote of the ep??

Chicken Feed: 'IT'S POPCAWNNNNN!'

Jerri is really turning into star of the season.

The one dorito chip for each tribe is hilarious

This really is a classic chalenge and I can see why they brought it back many a time in later seasons. Do eel sorry for Jeri, she really tried in that challene and it was an unfortunate loss!

The med-evac is horrible to watch, especially the shot of his skin faling of his hands, just horrific. Must have been quite shocking to the audience at the time also.

The first of many med-evac's on Survivor. It really is intense with the music and the way it's shot. As well as the pure shock from the other tribe.

Damn a 5-5 merge, bring on next ep!

Survivor 2: The Australian Outback: Episode 7

Interesting that the previous vote situations will come into play now, funny how one Kucha are like 'Will they remember that?'' in regards to a vote on Jeff lol.

I like the visiting other camps then deciding which camp is he nicer one to stay at for merge!

Chicken being the merge feast, nice of that tribe.

Finding the Jerri/Tina relationship fascinating to watch, a love/hate thing. Or Tina's tolerating Jerri.

The reaction to food then weird salsa music had me howling.

Love this challenge, seems like challenes lasted way longer in earlier seasons.

What would you jump off for after 10 hours? For me it would be a huge pizza, but even then i I've stayed up that long. This challenge is impressive stuff!

Good riddance VARNER! The one vote against him coming back to haunt him. I think I prefer the modern way of those two becoming immune and then re-voting, then rocks.

EDIT: VArner makes out like someone let the vote slip, so they could have tried to keep it secret. Now that would have been interesting to watch!

The story is that Kimmi blabbed about Varner's past vote to Tina during Reward Challenge after the Debb boot.

Love Kimmi, wish she'd lasted longer.

Survivor 2: The Australian Outback: Episode 8

Am starting to like Rodger, he's smart and a good asset to the tribe.

The croc just chilling :dead:

Jerri: ;Your back will be stabbed faster than... you can spit.' Mm.

Too many cooks in the rice kitchen!

Of course they are having a boomerang contest, lol. Jerri;s throw was amazing. Love they've started the 'you an pick someone else to come!' Always makes things interesting.

I like the concept of this challenge but as a viewer it's difficult to keep track of and watch.

Alicia was fierce and I'm sad she's gone, really hoping that the votes aren't as predictable from here on in.

Survivor Marquesas

Edgic:
Spoiler:

1. Sean - My favourite changed between the top 3 throughout the season, but I ended up giving it to Sean in the end. Sean was adorably enthusiastic throughout the season, charismatic, and rootable. He was also a hilarious CP figure during the whole season and I am glad he lasted the whole way.
“Five years ago, I’d have shoved Boston Rob in the fire”
“If you’re true to yourself, that is the true game of life. The only thing that changes is my attitude. See how happy I am? I can pass gas and feel free as a bird.”
“Neleh’s one of those people who will cleverly have the perception of working but I never see her carrying jugs or wood. I never see her doing the work that she says she is doing. But she’s always the first one to go I Have So Much Energy and I would too if all I did was take naps, walks and relax?”
“Checkmate bro. Thought you had me. Any time you go to Vegas, bet on black. But we definitely going to have chicken and waffles when this whole thing is done.”

2. John - I was really shocked by how much I liked John. At first I didn’t really like him because he was against Kathy and made her cry, but then I really started rooting for him. He disliked Rob - which is a good thing - and he also disliked Gabriel - which is also a good thing (“Gabriel says he is not playing the game. I mean you ARE here to play this game. If you’re not here… you’re on the wrong show. You know, this is not the 60’s and free love, and all that stuff. ”) Aside from his impeccable taste in people he dislikes… he would have times when he would do the most obscure **** like skinny dipping and jumping into the waterfall while saying that HE is the leader and that HE runs the show, and he ended up getting voted out after blowing a kiss to Sean as he eliminated him from a comp

3. Kathy - A very rootable underdog figure, Kathy kept me interested all season long Kathy started off as a weirdo who would go off on her own at various occasions to the frustration of certain people in the tribe. One day, she brought seafood back which she found, which was met with the height of ungratefulness (The seafood lifted everyone’s spirits up and I thought oh this will give me a point, I won’t get voted off now, but not once did they say Way To Go Kath! Thanks Kath! A pat on the back? I didn’t get one. Weird. I mean I’m not *that* hard to get along with.) She then cried and people started to realise that making a 46 year old mother cry for trying to be nice is not a good look in the slightest and everybody started to realise the greatness that is Kathy Vavrick-O’Brien. (An amazing name) I also think pissing on John after he got stung by a sea urchin might have had something to do with it as well. Following this, Kathy really started to play the game, so well that she ended up being safe at most TCs and this is an arc which I really enjoy! (Also, she has reminded me of somebody who I assume was a BBUS houseguest from the first episode, a week later I still haven’t figured it out )

4. Zoe - A miserable, unsociable twat but she was so funny with it, the way she was this UTR-irrelevance for the first half of her stay and then turned randomly into this horrible cow was hilarious to me. She’s even better in hindsight too! When I originally posted this ranking, she was lower. Like some people don’t like her because she was irrelevant for ages, but I feel like that’s part of her charm lmfao. Her jury performance is also impeccable. And speaking of things that are impeccable, let me also take the opportunity to recommend her website! Best website ever. TiBB is quaking.
- “Let me tell you, from the get go, I didn’t like you. I didn’t really… dig you. I didn’t like… dig… the way you… your eyes were… your presentation.”
- “I have a Work Hard, Play Hard attitude, and I feel like *I* should be sitting up there in that seat. I feel I worked really hard out there, and I played hard with the people who wanted to play, but I’m not going to talk about lies… and deception, because I was there too. We All Were There. Basically, I believe both of you have good hearts, and… you made it. To the spot, where all of us wanted to be at. Congratulations there, and that’s all I have to say.
- “I’m going to make this short and sweet. V is not for Victory tonight. NELEH IS THE ~SURVIVOR~”
Such a strange woman.

5. Tammy - “I went down to the beach where nobody could see me practice. But I’m not out of it. Not yet. Not until I hear my name read at Tribal Council.” For the first half of the season, Tammy was *there* but not in a way which I cared about her at all and then I suddenly really liked her! And her Zoe hatred “Zoe, I’m voting you out tonight because I just don’t like you.

6. Vecepia - Sarah has a good body. She… paid a lot for it. If you’ve got it. Flaunt it. - This is the introduction to Vecepia Towery. After that, Vecepia was an enjoyable background presence who could regularly be seen protesting against drama, or praising God in various situation. She then went on to win, where she was my choice out of the final 2, although I liked both Vecepia and Neleh, Vecepia is a better winner for me.

7. Neleh - (Neleh comes back and just talks about the trip and the food)
Neleh: “I wish so bad that I brought something back. I feel horrible telling you guys this. Did you guys feel horrible telling us?
Sean: “No, but then again, we actually brought back some food.”
Neleh: “The only thing I brought back was this mint that I shoved in my mouth really fast. So if everybody wants to take a little nibble… No, you guys, it’s good! It’s a little hard peppermint that I don’t want!
Sean: “You’re offering 7 STARVING adults a piece of candy out of your mouth. Keep your mint candy, man. That’s like saying, anybody want a lick of my doodoo?”
Neleh: “Nobody wants it? ” (eats the mint)

8. Sarah - I just find it funny how Sarah was nice to pretty much everyone, apart from Peter, (I would have to say tonight I’m going to vote for Peter. He’s just got this strange smirk on his face, he always looks like he’s up to something. He’s just... strange.) and Patricia (I’m 24 years old and my mom hasn’t told me what to do in 8 years? ) yet everyone literally DESPISED her and somehow somebody that was nice ended up getting an OTTN edit due to everyone’s intense hatred of her

9. Patricia - Probably would have been one of my favourites if she stayed, and she was fun for the 2 episodes we had her. Well, I say fun, but moreso as a viewer than for those that had to live with her overbearingness. The fact that Jeff called her “Mom” as well

10. Robert - “People don’t like that I’m a little abrupt. I don’t give a fat ass what you like. This is me. Like it. I couldn’t care less. You’ve still got to live with me for a couple of days. And if I win immunity, you’ll have to live with me longer.”

11. Gina - Her dream job is to have a log cabin restaurant, in Alaska, with a wildlife area, where she comes out and greets everyone, gives them coffee and every now and then, she’ll give them biscuits.

12. Hunter - I feel like he had potential as he seemed pretty charismatic in a good way, but he got cut fairly early on.

13. Peter - Just too holey for this game

14. Gabriel - Barely there but the few occasions that he was there, he was bringing Kathy down for being too positive. Go away.

15. Paschal - Painfully dull and was a really rubbish version of what I assume was meant to be a replication of Rodger Bingham. It didn’t work at all, and it creeped me out more than anything else. Also, his comment about how he’s from Georgia, whereas Sean is from *Harlem* and how this thing runs deeper than strategy is questionable at BEST

16. Rob - I came into this expecting to like Boston Rob and to my surprise, I don’t like him at all. He’s boring, slimy, annoying and the way he randomly outed John was really bad. Like for the first 7 episodes, this irritating man was just thrust upon us for a lot longer than he should have been, despite being a dull prick. The main game-players from previous seasons were all hated by viewers, but now suddenly that he’s a young, good-looking guy and has an accent, we’re supposed to love him? Honestly, I probably wouldn’t even mind him as much if he wasn’t forced upon us as much as he was.
