Unless you're gonna link or quote people, you're completely making that up, I've not seen anyone expressing the sentiment you posted.
That's generally the right wing attitude though, they boo diversity and 'PC culture' while claiming offense if the thing they are clamouring for bites them back. You don't have to look far to see such hypocrisy in action.

Hell, look at the 'OK, Boomer' thing, so many boomers that act like people get offended far too easily tried to make 'OK, Boomer' hate speech... You can't make it up.

And, once again, that has no bearing on the fact that it's a brexit crowd.

How do you know?

Was it on the tickets that only brexiters are allowed to raise money for children?

It doesn't take a detective to figure out that a crowd that vehemently boos and abuses a comedian for an anti-brexit joke is probably a brexit crowd.

It's called common sense, LT, try it sometime.

If you are so desperate to believe anything but the likely truth then by all means do so. It's not my job to make the wilfully blind see.

You are perfectly entitled to stick your fingers in your ears and go 'LALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU! LALALALALALALA'.

It's something when grown ass adults disregard common sense because it doesn't suit their agenda.

The likely truth now is it.

With one stale loaf thrown, surely the right wingers would have been hurling a lot more than that.

i'm wondering how many people commenting in this thread have been to a live comedy event in a small hall? I used to see live comedians every week and a lot more than 50% bombed and were heckled off. For people to enjoy a comedy event, the comedian does have to be funny

Not necessarily, I’m anti Brexit and would be annoyed to be subjected to it at a fundraising event

Confused as to why you would book him, when he presents The Mash Report and is pretty well-renowned for being left-leaning and political, only to complain about his set being left-leaning and political.

I find his voice extremely irritating but I would not waste precious bread on the poor fellow.

You have to look at the person who was responsible for booking and their budget, looks like that person was probably a fan but had no clue what the audience would like (or he was a late cancellation for a proper comedian like Jimmy Carr)

The most simple answer is nearly always the correct one. It was a brexit crowd and they reacted the way they did because of their own views.

I don't think anyone who had your mindset would do what they did, the fact that reacted so explosively says it's because they opposed the views of this comedian, not that he was talking about politics.

If you want to close your eyes then that's your prerogative, it doesn't change anything though .

You can try to obfuscate the facts, do away with common sense and spin things but at the end of the day, it's pretty ****ing simple. A brexit crowd reacted badly to an anti-brexit set.

No need to jump through illogical hoops to try and twist the truth of the matter when it's all very simple. If you weren't so driven by your own agenda, you could see the forest for the trees.

To be honest the best possible response a comedian telling anti-Brexit jokes would get from a Brexit supporting crowd would be uncomfortable silence or nervous laughter.

All comedians bomb throughout their careers. Even comedians much better than Nish. Wrong crowd for that material, is all.

I've been to lots, never one where people threw anything at the comedian though

You are ignoring the fact only one bread baguette was thrown, the way the right is portrayed on here you would think this may have been a vegan convention rather than a room full of people with some sort of disability effecting thier every day life that you are portraying as some sort of nick griffin convention....disability don't pick sides dezzy!!

It's common sense for the common people.

Given you weren't attending, you have no idea what crowd were attending, they might be a crowd suffering from Brexit fatigue and wanted a night away from it all
