Get over it. He prefers her. Your jealousy is embarrassing. Especially for someone who says he doesn't care.
Why are you getting personal with me?

I’m giving my opinion in a thread, it’s you that needs to get over yourself.

I never said it wasn't I was explaining to Cherie what happened,as she had asked ,I didn't take that much notice so wasn't quite sure who he was , why are people getting so wound up about facts ? I don't dislike them if that is what you are trying to imply . people need to chill out and stop trying to make more of things than is intended.

You started by saying you dont care but then you cared enough to post a string of speculations how the evil wife controls your good prince.
Idg what claim you think you have on him unless you're being jealous.

Harry has no constitutional role so it can't be that.
He didn't choose the royal career so it can't be that.
He expressed his unease with it way before she came on the scene so it not her fault either. You do know he said many times he'd like nothing better than working with animals in Botswana?

Now with his wife and baby they gave it a shot but it's not for them. They have enough determination to fight for a change in their circumstances. By precedent they will create a new way for those royals not essential to monarchy to make their way in life. Charles intends to slim down things anyway so that will come in handy.
Of course they will make mistakes. But we should let them go without being petty about it and wish them luck.

Your the being petty you can’t handle the fact I’m not gushing over Harry and meg.

It’s a forum, stop trying to make out I’m jealous, wen regardless of my opinion they are doing what they want to do.

Try to get a grasp on reality.

I'd give you the same advice.

At least im not the one trying to make baseless claims he's being manipulated by his wife, poor lamb. That's not reality, that's petty speculation

It is accurate. The media now behave nothing like they did in the Diana years, surely that is obvious. No member of the royal family, and certainly not Harry and Meghan are harrassed and hunted like she was and the press are in no way as scandal - mongering. Stricter guidelines were enforced after the death of Diana.
There are certain protections in place as Royal family members, which the Sussexes will no longer have....
The likes of online media like Twitter etc is a different matter - the chattering masses can be savage to celebs and royals alike, but nobody forces them to read that stuff.

Don’t get me wrong I want them to be happy but I think Harry is jumping out of the frying pan into the fire with this move
If you want to live a life without press intervention then you have to live a modest life and I simply cannot see that happening. Whilst all this has been going on in England Meghan has been shown courting press attention by visiting women’s support groups. All well and good..but you would have thought she might let the dust settle first...
I agree with all that...and if, as reported, they (er, Meghan) want to eventually live in LA it is going to get worse (for Harry). Unless he's been hankering after the high life with famous celebs and making millions off his royal status all along, but I don't believe that. Meghan however....

They have handled the tragedy in different ways yes as the older brother as William says he's been on the role of protector and harry has visibly struggled. There's never a good age to lose your mum, he was very little at the time wasn't he?

William as heir has a whole different ball game of protections around him and his family, the press have never been as vicious with him and kate as they have harry and Meghan. .. they wouldn't dare.

Comparing apples and oranges.

William and Harry are different people, and as the future King William's circumstances are very different. Not to mention choosing a wife who hasn't left her life in another country.

It really bothers me that people relate any of their decisions to the loss of their mum, especially in their relationships. My dad died when I was young and it doesn't define anything about me.

In always happens in first few years of the royal marriages when the spotlight and interest is at its peak. The press were vicious with Fergie and Kate, and Diana didn't get it easy either. None of them in those first few years deserved it.
Harry and Meghan seem to have gone out of their way to make the press dislike them. I've heard so many reporters say how they loved Harry who they always had a laugh with and he even went to the pub with them on numerous occasions.
Now all they get is a scowl and sharp words.
