The show had a big impact on some of their lives after the show and not all of it was positive.

I don't really agree with this, apart from the intelligent man compliment.
The HM's aren't actors, so their personalities are soon revealed....and it IS still real life, albeit one where they are under scrutiny, it isn't suspended when they step through those doors and become real again when they walk out.
It is rather like royal life in a way, where they put on a face for the public but are also scrutinised here - positively or negatively - when they do anything which gets us talking and voicing our opinions! It's just a forum for entertainment after all!

Nothing about BB resembles real life. It's people reacting to a simulated situation that would never occur in real life, no one would ever be born and live in a BB styled situation.

Comparing someone's life that they were born into to willing participants in a TV show is quite a flawed comparison.

The royals have always had their personalities and actions judged, long before BB was a thing. They are the most famous royal family in the world after all, of course they are going to be scrutinised.

My original point was the ownership over them was weird more so than the "judging", obviously people will do that to those in the spotlight but when they make moves to come away from that spotlight and people act like they're public property rather actual real people, then that's a bit creepy

It’s not ownership, its interest, and if that interest no longer existed, the royal family would become irrelevant.
It has been pointed out many times that they ARE in a way public property as they are paid public money to serve us, not sure I agree with that!

This is what I mean though, that's what I find off, Harry's a real person. Can you imagine saying something like that about people on disability or Unemployment benefits? The state pays them therefore they are public property? Well referring to anyone as "property" is distasteful anyway

I read an interesting article a while ago which theorised that many people see the royal family as the guiding family of us all, they feel they know them like close relatives and take an interest in all their comings and goings. They feel all their ups and downs nearly as much as they would members of their own families etc.
I guess thats a bit weird...I've always been interested in Royal history, from centuries ago to the present day, but seeing them as some kind of extended family, um, no!

Oh god, that sounds really creepy It seems like people forget that money, fame and privilege doesn't always make for a happy and fulfilled life. Look at poor ol Robin Williams and Heath Ledger for example. I just try to put myself into their positions I suppose and obviously the money would be fantastic but personally I couldn't cope with the lack of privacy and always having to behave in a certain way and feeling like I don't own myself

Oh I don't use Twitter either, I have an instagram account but I follow about 25 people and I actually know them all in real life (oh sorry I have 3 people from TiBB on there too)
