Default B.Iliffe gets suspended sentence after threatening mess to MP Angela Rayner

https://news.sky.com/story/angela-ra...eader-12453460

[The court heard Iliffe warned Ms Rayner
to “watch your back and your kids” in the email.
It said: “Promise you *******.

“There’s so many people in this country now,
after your poster boy
murdered an Englishman
who are coming after you now *******.

“You were easy to find btw.

“I already found your personal home address.”

Presiding magistrate Andrew Riddington,
sentencing on Thursday, said:
“We believe that the offences are
so serious that it does cross
the custody threshold.

“It’s so serious because of the psychological
harm caused to a public servant.”
However, he said the sentence could be
suspended after credit for Iliffe’s guilty
pleas and the “remorse shown”.]

Jeez. People on twitter who say "ima kill u lol" or whatever should just be ignored, but that's a bit line-crossing.

He probably only showed remorse because he was caught, he would have done it again if he wasn’t caught and he’ll probably do it again the next time he feels like it

No, the judge shouldn't be using a different case to judge on this case. Judge each case on their own merits. There's a World of difference between murdering someone and sending a threatening email. And no judge should be swayed by what is happening elsewhere in the World. The law is the law, and people's personal feelings shouldn't come into it.

the person should be jailed. MP's have a duty to lower the heat on some of their rhetoric too though. It's all getting out of hand

Someone should tell her that you can't unring a bell.

Always better late than never.

There's no point in politicians of any party who the media or others feel need to apologise, to do so or eventually do so.
If when they do, they are still ONLY going to get criticised or derided for doing so.

Personally for me her terminology was too strong, she was talking about the PM and most of his Cabinet only.

I wouldn't dare put in print what I'd like to call them a fair bit of the time.

Better late than never, it's not a word we'll hear much from this PM for anything.

I don't think, prove me wrong someone if he has, I don't think he's ever said sorry for his very careless statement as Foreign Secretary for the Lady, wife and Mother still held in Iran, which in no way helped her in her plight in Iran.
