This is all that matters though
[Energy bills will be frozen at around £2,500 for households by Liz Truss in a huge intervention to protect Britons from soaring prices.] |

Therese Coffey is awful.
Shouldn't be an MP never mind a Minister. Of Health too, that's an awful move sending out many wrong signals of this so called new government. |

There's not much difference just some shuffling around.
I don't think it's a good judgement move putting Cleverley as Foreign Secretary. This looks pretty poor and weak actually. So much for cleaning up and a good new beginning. It's like once upon a time. Then, once upon a time again as a repeat. Last edited by joeysteele; 06-09-2022 at 07:53 PM. |

Kwasi Kwarteng looks like he might actually be qualified for his job which is a rarity for sure

As PM, she gets to hand out the jobs, which is fair enough. The same faces just shows what a terrible move it was for Johnson to get rid of any tory with a couple of brain cells, in 2019. No difference in thought, no policies, just same again with a different face. I hope she does well, because we need it, but it is hope rather than expectation.

POW! BLAM!
|
A few of the former leadership contenders seem to be getting positions. I don't know if it's a good thing that she's not "afraid" for want of better word to have them on her cabinet? I guess the pool of capable ("capable") Tories is quite shallow.

BBC Text : [Truss's energy plans will be
funded with borrowing and the total cost could be more than £150bn. Cartoonist Matt wastes no time taking aim at the plans, depicting a domestic scene of a frustrated bill-payer saying: "Doesn't anyone in this family ever switch off a light? Today's children will end up paying for this energy."] Last edited by arista; 06-09-2022 at 11:17 PM. |
