Can anyone explain why Villa have extended Unai Emery’s current contract by another year ?

He was already tied up till around 2028 or something ??

Was it 28 pts altogether? Where would they have been without that? Hmm, and what tactics could they have shown?
But are they?

I think that he only had two years left on his contract.

Sooooo

Massage game approaching !

Brighton have 11 first team players missing injured but they have had 12 days rest apparently

ManC have a full squad apart from Haaland and they were all exhausted after the weekend game supposedly

Default Premier League 2023-24 Season - General Discussion

City are blessed with luck !!

A very fortunate free kick given then a deflected goal and dont get me started on KDB scoring probably his first ever headed goal from 25 yards out

I’m guessing Walker will miskick a cross in from 35 yards soon

I cant watch anymore of this

I expected a better showing from Brighton

It is remarkable how many decisions go City’s way though

Interesting

City have an average of 2.6

Whilst Arsenal and Liverpool both have averages of 3

Looks like City will be champions again

Sadly I can see Spurs beating Arsenal at the weekend and even though Spurs are capable of beating ManC as well in a few weeks it may not matter too much by then if City are 8 points clear or something

there are new financial rules coming in for the premier league next season that will run in parallel with FFP next season, and completely replace FFP the season after.

The new rules make sure that the cost of the squad cannot be greater than 80% of a clubs profit. In addition, there will be an anchor point where teams cannot spend more on players than a pre-defined anchor point multiple based on the lowest positioned premier league team. That will be a massive change, and it's being voted on next week

You should be more worried about Spurs maiming Arsenal players. Arsenal are a much better team than Spurs, and on paper should win comfortably enough. But again, expect Spurs to attempt to immobilise as many Arsenal players as possible.

Na .. there’s only Romero who is slightly unbalanced but he has turned a corner since he was made a vice captain

Still think Spurs could slaughter Arsenal football-wise though
