Just wondered what everyone else's opinion was on this, but like many out there, i watched the Big Bro launch show last Friday with major disbelief.

I first thought that it was going to be amazing this year, i watched all the contestants go in and the little introductions we got to them, and i thought....no way will they be like this in the house....

Out of all of them....the one that seems the most different is Vanessa in my opinion, on her audition tapes...she seems like a right biatch, with the whole 'Whatever' attitude, immediately i thought 'Not gonna like her', but i do, as she is quite reserved in the house. I understand it's just the first week. But it's all the falicies and misleading audition tapes which make me laugh.

Craigs audtion tape i hated, every other word was F@#k, i thought i would hate him, but after seeing him bond with Vanessa, i think he's alright....a little bit cringe worthy at times...especially when trying to sing (Anyone else see that when he was straightening Vanessa's hair?!?! lol)

It's weird how first impresions count, and it does go to show that you can't just be yourself to get in the house....look at Sam....all this promise of bedding a man....ummmm....don't think so!! Fingers crossed it livens up more in there, the bickering is fun to watch and the whole Makosi situation has ben absolutely amazing....well done Big Bro!!

I though Makosi was amazing when she walked into the house and still do, keep her in there for the sheer entertainment value!!

I watched them go into the house and a thought that it was gonna be the worst big brother ever! they all seemed fake on their audition tapes but when theyv'e gone in, theyve seemed much more normal and am luvin bb agen!

I agree, i wasn't looking forward to it at all, saw Makosi and Kemal go in and thoight they were great straight away...but i do agree with you, it is getting interesting and i'm arming to people i didn't think i would.

It's been much more promising than even last year up to yet , I think it's set to be the best BB ever . Even my girlfriend is hooked and she usually hates it .

The audition tapes did seem to promise more than they actually delivered (especially Craig who claimed he "loved to ruin peoples lives...etc") but I'm quite pleased with how most of the housemates have turned out.

Mary and Craig have disappointed me so far, in light of their audition bits.

Craig has been a total let down, I was hoping he was someone to really mix things up and be a pratt to people, but instead he spends all his time crying and bitching. Very disappointing.

And Mary, I was hoping she'd be a weird loner freak, hissing at anyone who came near her. But she's turned out to be just a nice girl (still a little strange, so I'm hoping there's still some witchery to come). Being nice isn't necessarily a bad thing, and I quite like her, but I was hoping for so much more from these two.

Still, it's early days...

I didn't actually see mary's audition bits, was trying to get a bottle of wine open at the time *glug glug*. But Craig has disappointed me in some respects, like you, i too thought he was going to be a right bitch, but he's turned out to be the diplomat when it come to the housemates arguing. He should be creating the arguments, not sorting them out!

Oh you missed a treat. She claimed she was from Atlantis (and the scary thing was, she seems to really believe that she was) that she's psychic, thats she a witch and that she has been abducyted by aliens "about" 8 times (yeah, cos after the 5th time, you just stop counting don't ya?)

I hated Craig after seeing his interview, but he's turned out to be OK!

Mary, well she's still a Wiccan and into the paranormal (go girl!) but she's not as out there as her tape made her out to be. I thought she'd be quite aloof but she's really nice

I am a bit disappointed with Craig.He has been a big let down.He portryaed the whole spoilt brat who doesnt care about any one else but he has actually been quite reserved in teh house.He resorts to backstabbing and bitching rather than confrontation.

I also think Vanessa has been a bit of a let down.On her tape she seemed very very bubbly,maybe she will comeout of her shell.

The rest seem pretty much as they said they would be like,bit disappointed with Roberto too.

I think Vanessa has been told by Marco (remember they know each other) to keep a low profile in the first 2/3 weeks so as not to annoy people. Once she's through there, she can then come out of her shell and be herself more - which, by the way, I still think is a female Marco, i.e. loud, squeaky and self-obssesed.

By the way, has anyone else noticed that the green sofas with the sun cushions in the publicity shots are not there now - the sofas are sunny yellow. I know Davina said they only arrived on the morning that BB started, but what happened to the others and why were they in the photos?

If I look back at what I thought of them then I had a low opinion of nearly all of them but now, apart from the fox hunting [which I will always hate] Derek, I like them all at the moment. I think its a good way to start.

me 2, i thought that all of their ott personalitys on their audition tapes would ruin bb this year but im so pleased theyre not like that!

Completely agree, think this year it's gonna be good, not sure if it will surpass last year, we can only hope!
