I think its a good thing, it will stop people wandering in and getting jealous because they want to go on a ride

Bands are only £21 anyway, its not really a wallet crusher.

Tell that to a single mum taking her 4 kids.

I didn't end up going today, depsite paying my £19. I hadn't gotten my pass in one of my ICT modules so it was Alton Towers and fail, or get it done. I'm absolutely gutted because I've never, ever been to Alton Towers, and I missed the trip with work the other month because I'd have rather went with 6th form.

Lauren, you're the only one who commented .. says a lot.

You're not really missing anything, it's crap. Most of the rides do basically the same thing but given a different name (ie. dozens of variations of a rollercoaster)

It is good. You'll have to go eventually.

On another note I only found out today that Southport reopened ages ago

See, some people [Tom] say it's good and others [marsh] say it's not worth it, what to do?! LOL.

It's nothing to get excited about Tom, it's much smaller and has one 'big' rollercoaster. I think that'll be coming down soon, I don't actually think some of the rides were knocked down, and the 'new' Southport is what remains of them. I do miss it though, I remember going on the traumatizer 7 times in one day.

Traumatiser is in Blackpool now (Infusion). Its actually better over water and stuff. Alton Towers is good but its only good when its not overly packed and you get there early because the queues can get pretty big. I'm not to keen on the sound of the new Southport then ...

I know the cyclone has gone, you need those classic wooden coasters for light relief But Alton Towers don't have any of them, its their only bad point.

Infusion is SO much better in blackpool, just the scenery makes the ride far better. First time ive heard of a roller coaster moving to a new park.

I didn't enjoy that one Too many twists and turns that made me feel sick at the end.

The owners of the old Southport own Blackpool as well so its no surprise they took that ride because it could be moved. But the owners owned a theme park in Morecombe as well a few years ago, a couple of the Southport rides (unsure if they're still there) were moved as well. I know King Solomons Mines (or what I refer to as the death trap) is one that moved. Its just a shame they never took the cyclone as well . Agree about Infusion though, loved the Traumatiser, loved Infusion more. Even just queuing up is better because of the giant fish and the noise and stuff because its next door to the Pepsi Max.
