Arggggh I am fed up of housemates blaming editing for their behaviour.

A lot of people say 'oh she looks bad cos of editing' but if they SAID or DID the stuff shown then thats bad enough, Big Brother doesnt dub the voices.

And when people say people like Imogen were unfairly edited to be fair she didnt do a lot in the house. Yeah she had a few good moments but even if they showed them she'd be boring.

Was looking through some old threads and saw Liam from Hijack saying that the way he came across was down to editing which is utter bull. Big Brother shows what happens.

Do you agree or does editing have a big effect

Editing has a major effect. Yes people may do the things, but Big Brother totally manipulates the whole thing. Take Nicky BB8, they showed her as a moody sullen cow, whereas she wasn't that, yes she moaned, but if you notice, that was the only thing that was shown, she was fun aswell, as seen on live feed.

Carole BB8, was portrayed as a sweet, warm, caring old woman, where in reality she was a manipulative, jealous old bat, but once again, Big Brother wanted an "awww" figure.

When people are up for eviction, you'll notice that BB manipulates as to who the viewers will vote for, by doing the following:

1. Showing all the peoples nominations for that person.
2.Ensuring any negative thing they do during that week is included in the show.
3. Ensuring their opponent gets minimum coverage during the daily shows
4. Turning all spin off shows against their "victim".

You see I think thats down to opinion
Cos I think Carole came across as a bat, which is because she was. They never once portrayed her nicely. She was horrible and thats what was shown.

And Nicky was moody, she admitted it herself. Yeah she had fun, but 90% of times she was moody.

But with Carole, the show tried and tried to make her a nice, cuddly old woman, they cut out ALL of her gameplaying against Amy, and it just got too obvious.

watch the live feed if ya can... Many many things that d!ckhead dale has said about the nice housemates that never made it onto the highlights show, but of course its when ya can watch the live feed. Bet plenty of anti-rex posts later on the highlights thread, lol.

I do think that sometimes they edit out the bad parts of a character, mainly because it isn't a highlight of the day.

Although, this season, they have more than enough time to edit in some more bitching.

Editing plays one of the biggest roles in Big Brother.

Everything that is shown is selected to make you feel a certain way towards something. Even those five second expression shots that you see can change the whole scene around.
